Advice: Don't keep torturing yourself.
A long break did wonders for me.
Whether you want a break or a permanent stop, i can't tell you that, but you seem like you could use one.

The trick to having fun in this game is to go in with no expectations! Some games are downright terrible, and others are moderately enjoyable. If you're frustrated, it's okay to take a break and play a different game for a while: DBD will be waiting for you when you want to return, and trust me, any game is 100x more fun when you come back after a long break and get to see all the new content.

Not true. I suck and still have fun. But sometimes you do just need to take a break, because it does get frustrating and borderline torturous.
4 -
No it's not.
I don't feel any enjoyment when I win at 5 or 4 gens because I played Blight on sweatmode, I just feel frustration because of tiny mistakes I make or game bugging or survivors being mean, despite me literally dumping them into trashcan. Booooring.
The game is fun when you and your opponents are good, when there's not toxicity and when you win or lose not because "THEY HAD A PERK THAT WON THE GAME" or "GREAT SPAWN, 10/10" or "MY HIT DIDN'T REGISTERED" etc etc, but because you all were doing your best and there was actually some competition and skill shown. Then even losing doesn't feel very bad and winning is extremely satisfying.
The problem is that such matches are so rare, that it's easier to simply play some meme builds or completely turn your brain off and lower any expectations from the game to the point where you giggle because "weee I ran fast'

I play for the enjoyment of watching how fast the team dies.

It's a great way if you play killer.

It's no fun when you get 4k on first hook for each Survivor. Not really winning when it's too easy.

This is so rare case. Last time I killed all survivors on first hook, I was laughing hard, because it wasn't intentional. I didn't slug on purpose, I just hooked all survivors before they managed to unhook someone. Chases were extremely short, but it was easy not because I was that good, it is mostly them was cucked by map size and unlucky timings. Matches like this are rare but hillarious. It would become boring only if it happen often.

"Being good at a game makes it more enjoyable"

Hey if you need someone to play it with, I can play with you :)

Red ranks is were players actually are compitent, if your not red ranks your team will just be awful. There still meh teamates in red ranks but you do get saved when kindred is equipped. Sometime people don't know addition if you don't have kindred so id always keep it even in red ranks.

Sounds like a good option

I thought the game was amazing from day 1 when I was terrible at it. Now after playing this for three years and improving to the point where I am now just very very bad I can honestly say that people either like the game or they don't. How good you are shouldn't make a difference.

All players are pepega, but red ranks more compitent than any ranks below.

There's a huge difference between the rank 4s who bounce up and down between purple and red ranks, hitting the occasional rank 3s, and the actual rank 1s/2s. Of course, there are potatoes even between the latter, generally if they get carried by their SWFs. But that aside, the difference in skills is quite noticeable.
The pip system is forgiving up to purple ranks included. However, in the red ranks players who are unable to pull their weight in a chase typically hit a hard wall and they're mathematically unable to score enough emblems to pip consistently. This is even more true for SoloQ where too many factors that affect pipping are out of your control and lasting in chases is crucial, or otherwise you can even forget about safety pipping.

I play solo queue and I've definitely had bad streaks of matches like that. It's frustrating to spend time loading into a game and then die on your first hook because no one can bother to save you, or spend the whole time with Social No Mither. I've literally had games where I did three gens, cleansed the hex totem, and unhooked everyone else at least once, and then they jumped out the hatch without trying to save me.
I agree with the advice that taking a break for a while really helps. That has been true for me.

Gotta disagree that you need to be good to enjoy the game. I'm Rank 4 (Lower now thanks to reset) and I'm pure trash in a chase, but that doesn't stop me from having a laugh with it. I know I'm terrible and anytime I mess up during a chase I just laugh it off and try again. Too many people have the mindset that they have to be amazing to enjoy the game. Not true at all. You can have just as much fun playing for the heck of it. Even when I play killer and I'm not really doing good, I just tend to have a mess around with survivors, who usually return the favor and it becomes a fun match again. But, that's just my opinion and how I enjoy the game.

This is just a lie I’m horrible at survivor yet when me and my one friends play all we only do dumb ######### and it’s so much fun

If you're having it that rough in solo queue, just go in and be the most selfish S.O.B. you can be. If you do actually run into some players that are more to your liking, you should consider reaching out to them to form a party so you're not going at it alone.

Aka the game is frustrating as solo survivor. Yeap, it is.

I'll disagree just because some of my favorite memories are of when I was new and still scared of this game. It loses some of its charm once you know all the ins and outs by heart.

You are suffering from some real problematic issues in the game, and I'm not going to make light of them. The only thing I can say is that it does get better. Either that, or we learn to let go of the little things and stop thinking of the game as a single match, but rather a long term endeavor. Solo Que is a mess right now, and the way the game is going, I don't see that getting any better. If you want someone to play Survivor with, that will at least attempt to do so in good faith, hit me up on Steam and I'll play with you, or direct you to some others who will too. We take the game serious, and we have fun. If you die on the hook, it won't be for our lack of trying to get to you. Or, take a break, however long you need. It might be permanent. All things come to an end. Someday, I will grow bored of this game or have no more mountains to climb. I will bid it a fond farewell and move on to a new game. It happens.

The hitboxes are fine, its just the server is as powerful as a potato battery being used as a car battery

This. I took a few months off when Ghostface came out as I just wasn't having fun anymore.

I agree, I get lots of terrible games because I'm not so good as the matchmaking thinks I am but like it was mentioned before, just going in with no expectations an just doing your best is good enough and works for me, sometimes. No need to try hard.

What system do you play on/what's your rank? I'd be down to play with you sometime if you're interested!

Solo Queue is very dependent on the teammates you get. Sometime you have the first hook suicider, sometimes you get a great team.
IF the ranking system were better, it would all pay of, but sadly, i dont think the devs have a clue how to do it properly, thats why it is still "looked into".

Watch some of the bigger streamers/youtubers play, it did wonders for me. The game isnt that complex, so just seeing how they play the game and taking notes on where and how they loop or how they handle loops as killer can help you out greatly. Of course; map knowledge is something that you can only get by playing but there are helpful guides out there to help you get a better understanding of their layouts and where/how to use the loops.

yeah this is what a I meant lol. I even pointed out you still need kindred in those ranks

advice, don't play solo survivor, its probably the worse possible experience this game has to offer
DBD has its own discord that has constantly 20-30 swf channels to play with other players with duos, trios, and full squads
Play more killer, playing killers and understanding them allows you to better counter them, can't get tunneled if they can't even down you in the first place
Take a break, there is no obligation to play this game other than the sunken cost fallicy, take a break every now and then and come back with a clear head, stress does pile up into burn out, so its better to let it wave sooner or later
