24 Hours With The Spirit
Okay, so I've spent the last day or so playing both with and against the spirit(well against her as much as I can, she's shockingly not being used as much as I would have thought for a day 1 killer). Based on those experiences here are my thoughts regarding her and her abilities. Note, her perks are fine but they aren't representative of her. Here I'll only be talking about her and her base kit.
My thoughts about The Spirit actually connect to another popular thread on these forums calling for a speed nerf for The Clown. Some survivors want his power/advantage to be turned into an ability to compensate for a weakness. Some people seem to be of the mind that this is what a killer's power should be, a way to compensate for some inborn weakness that the killer possesses. The thought process seems to be that all killers should be balanced like Nurse and Hag. Well, that seems to be what they've done with The Spirit except that her ability doesn't come close to comparing to either of those other two killers.
What this killer can accomplish with her so-called mind games is entirely dependent on how good the survivors are that she's going up against. Once again we have a killer whose usefulness depends entirely on the incompetence of your opponents. She's not strong because of any innate or inherent ability. In fact, she has more going against her than she does for her. For instance, survivors have more ways of tracking her while she's invisible than she has of tracking them. Survivors can hear her and watch for any disturbances in their area that mark her approach. The Spirit must rely on scratch marks, which can be totally negated by a survivor just not running.
Sure you'll see games where she either gets some lucky gen pulls off or an experienced killer bats around some inexperienced survivors but neither of these situations will be because the killer is powerful or has a strong ability. No, the plays you'll be pulling off with The Spirit will be in spite of her power, not because of it. And that's the ultimate problem with this killer, her power does very little to actually help her. Once survivors learn to what to watch out for we may find her even more powerless than Freddy. At least Freddy has a base killer walking speed.
So, in the end, all the of the issues that people had with her on the PTB have carried directly over to the live server. We have a killer with a great look and a power that could be interesting but that has been totally hamstrung by the devs who simply cannot find the courage to stand up to the vocal minority in the survivor community and actually give us a killer worth playing.

Why do you have to give an opinion 24 hours after something comes out? Let's say you slept for 8 of that and took bathroom, eating, and a short rest for 2 hours of that time as well. 14 hours of play not to mention queuing and such is not worth a review.
How about you make a comment 1 month from now. Give people and players actual in-game time to learn how to effectively use the killer. Once that happens, then these types of reviews and comments will be fine. Until then just relax and enjoy the game.

I think you got a point. Lets compare her:
Pig (arguably the most similar) has basestats, can mindgame with a high speed dash out of stealth and has RBTs and is not that great.
Myers has enhanced basestats and a stat boost including instadowns and he is balanced.
Wraith has basestats, speed burst, increased movement speed, map pressure and he still needs some help.
Spirit has crippled basestats ON TOP of an ability with huge downsides by itself
(Cooldown, inability to track survivors, has to stand dtill to charge).
What do you guys think she has what most stealth Killers cant do? Even Wraith does her Job better.

The Spirit needs a smaller terror radius or/and faster movement speed. And also scratch marks and audio cues during Phase Walk to be accurate. Nothing like hearing a survivor moan in front of you that's running, but there's no scratch marks, so you come out only to see that they're actually 10 feet in front of you, and scratch marks appearing right under them as they go.
I thought Stridor would help, but it just makes the audio cues even worse, since it doesn't improve positional accuracy; it just makes their injured whining louder. It would be a good tracking perk in general if it actually made breathing (which is virtually inaudible) some measure of louder, but that's for a different discussion.
Anyway, she's really cool, and her power can be extremely effective, but there's just no accuracy to the little clues you do get of where a survivor is. A smaller terror radius would lean into her element of surprise, which she probably needs to be a better spook killer, but her chase is so ######### bad because her power is less accurate than pre-nerf Nurse with -Accuracy addons stacked.
