As a deathslinger main, play as sthealtily as you can if you want to survive.
Yes, I know it is not the most fun way to play, but it is the one that will get you the least killed.
If I can see you, I can kill you, simple as, there are few loops you can use to slow me down, but nothing more than that, you will go down, and fast.
That is why there is nothing I hate more than a survivor that hides constantly, because a survivor that hides is a survivor I cant see and therefore cant kill.
Also pray you dont get Autohaven, McMillan or any other map with a ton of LoS, otherwise, you are likely guaranteed to lose unless you are going against a mediocre deathslinger.

I don't really see stealth as counterplay to any killer.Pretty much the only thing it does is getting your team killed.
You have to take the aggro at some point in the match.

This is the issue; Deathslinger is the best stealth killer in the game and yet the only way to beat him, is to stealth yourself. It's difficult to hide from a killer you don't know is coming tbh.
This is why he needs changing. I've made a post in the past with ideas that ended up being a huge buff to him while making him much less frustrating/boring to vs.

I don't think even that much is needed. As fellow deathslinger main I'd say the biggest mistake survivors do that gives me the game is they group up allowing me to have several fast chases in a row.
Spreadinig out on multiple gens and beiing at least decent at chases vs slinger (meaing you know when to abandon a loop or how to use LOS blockers etc) is good enough to beat even some great slingers, depends on a map quite a bit.
Also I'd rather take my chances and enjoy the chase vs slinger then hide all game evading him. I can do that sometimes if I feel like playing stealthy build but generally it's far more enjoyable to attempt to outplay him at what he does best.

I dont think stealth is the best way against deathslinger. Sure when you hide perfect, it works against every killer with no tracking. But when you are found, you are screwed. And deathslinger has a smaller terror radius, so its harder to hide. Dont give a deathslinger a normal first hit, then a shot and you are down in 5 seconds. The first health state needs to be a shot, make him reload. Waste time. Make distance. He is only 110%. You need to abandon the idea that you can run him forever. Some strong loops (car loops) are useless against him, even shack with a dropped pallet is not safe. Sometimes break line of sight and leave the tile, he needs a long time to catch up, but use objects to block his shots.
