Why are moris still a thing

As mostly a survivor main and the occasional killer player I must say nothing peeves me off more than seeing a killers offering tile not flip, I cant think of a single reason for them to still be in the game after all these years and on top of all things wrong with this game Moris should be top spot for needing to be removed/rebalanced

    They are being reworked

Because they are the only element offered to balance the power of swf.

Mori's are the only thing keeping me playing at this point.

The general obnoxiousness of most players these days means that the mori is one of the few things I derive a lot of joy from.

Having a fun game only use it if you need it, having a kind of toxic game one hook mori and get it over with.

They are a blessing, if they go I'll probably go with them.

Only because some survs want. You don't need to play against them. If survs don't play against them killers won't bring them.

So both moris and keys are being reworked also moris can be a selling point to a lot of people. They can't simply just remove it. Also as someone who is a killer main and once had 6 games in a row where someone found a key and left with their 1-2 friends while I looked for them for 10 minutes, there is no reason to complain about moris and not complain about keys.

I knew before even starting this thread id get flak about keys being a thing but for keys you actually have to earn the escape by either letting your team die or popping gens moris really dont have that feel for me, nothing feels worse than playing and in a non toxic way and just getting downed, hooked, tunneled then mori half an hour queue for a five minute game. Frankly I would be fine with removing both I play mostly survivor and keys usually dont matter to me I dont use them unless I get them from a chest. This, all survivors are toxic mentality is just plain wrong.

I play a 3 person non-sweaty SWF but we dont play toxic unless we get a toxic killer.

Moris should not be here, its too easily abused to get 1 player out of the game without a fair chance.

Deathgarden had insta-moris and thats what made me quit it, DbD has survived despite this because its an offering.

Its time BHVR closed off Moris completely.

See this is an example of the general bad player base of this game. Mori's can be used obnoxiously but many people don't do that, but we all get lumped together just by bringing one.

I like the animations, I think they make the killer scary as you can die quickly, I enjoy using them and facing them because the game intensity goes up a notch when they are used. If I get mori'd as a survivor even after one hook I just queue again no big deal.

To say that I should quit because you can't hack being mori'd is a great example of the kind of game community negativity that really kills the dbd community. I'm sorry mori's upset you but that's a you problem.

Yes, surely negativity is the reason why the community is toxic, definitely not bad players going out of their way to ruin the game for others by abusing an overpowered game mechanic in order to fulfill their pathetic power fantasies.

    What a bad ######### joke.

You make some assumptions about my game play because I brought a mori, again that is the problem here.

Check your assumptions. You have assumed my state of mind and my intention and they are both negative perceptions.

This is what I'm talking about. The game may be competitive but that does not make it inherently malicious, you assume and attribute maliciousness to a mechanic, why I don't know but I'd guess you don't enjoy it so it must be malicious.

I reckon all killers should have a built in mori after second hook and get rid of ebony mori's all together, it would increase the horror threat of the killer and prevent the one hook mori abuse.

Now I'm sure most people have one hook mori'd at some point, but I do it usually in response to obnoxious survivor behaviour. I have a tool to improve my game state and I'll use it if necessary. Otherwise its a back up threat to add a lil more horror and some sweet animations to the game.

The abusive closure of your post kind of highlights my point, you could have objectively responded but you chose to make assumptions and then belittle my post another great example of forum toxicity.

Personally, I never use a mori until they are on death hook. I love the Mori animations but I also see that they can be seen as unfair to that 1 person who gets effed by it. I know I am probably a minority but sometimes I get bored of the spider demon taking my sacrifices from me and I just want to rip out a tongue and beat you to death... but only if you were on death hook anyway :)

Players that can't win without moris are objectively bad.

If you love the animations so much you could easily run Devour or Rancor, two perks that are actually balanced, instead of an auto win, game ruining, mori. I bet you expect people to believe you when you tell them you read Playboy for the articles, too.

  • pseudechis
    pseudechis Member Posts: 3,904

I don't expect anything. I run rancor and DH when I feel like it and I run mori's when I feel like it and there is nothing wrong with either.

You are great at making assumptions and unrelated accusations without much substance, debate is not your strong point, you should quit while you're behind.

I won't be replying again as you have demonstrated you are incapable of objective opinion you are here for a tit for tat fight and I have better thinsg to do. Never argue with a fool they are to dumb to understand their own point, let alone yours and you buddy are a fool.

Mori's and keys are fine people just need to sack up, play the game and stop all the whining.

Your opinion means very little to me. I'm glad the devs have committed to charging moris and hope you find a different game to suck the fun out of sooner than later.

Lol, perks, addons and practically all the abilities can counter a SWF. Using a Mori is simply admitting you cannot get a single kill and that you're outmatched(do note tho, offering a mori and using them are seperate things). Which is okay if the game reflected that, but it obviously doesnt.

Generators are kinda the objective and if you cant manage gen pressure that is directly on you not the survivors stop blaming the other side for you just being bad at the game.

  • sulaiman
    sulaiman Member Posts: 3,219

Well, killing survivors is an objective too. If you cant stay hidden stop blaming the other side for you just being bad at the game.

I find toxic behaviour across the board mori or otherwise. Basically the best way to play this game is to just play your way and enjoy it. I doesn't mean you have to try and grief or ruin others game experience but frankly if people get upset over basic game mechanics then there is not much you can do.

I don't bring a mori every game but I enjoy using them when I do and they are part of the game. I like the way you put the onus back onto me though as the cause of toxicity because I brought a legitimate game item into the game.

Mori or not there is no excuse for toxic behaviour and if people think that they are justified in being unpleasant because of a mori then once again they are the problem.
