Striking while healing question?

I was playing The Spirit today and there was a survivor getting healed by the exit door. At a standstill I swung twice to hit them standing right next to them but it didn't register? Can you not hit someone while they are being healed?

    Could be lag. Had someone recently unhooked them - could still be under the effects of borrowed time, or it could have been a weird timing issue where they finished the heal RIGHT when you smacked them - thus going from healed to injured again but not downed.

    it was a good 5 seconds, that would be some lag lol
