Looks like a ping / connection issue :) You probably already know this given your smiley, but for others' benefit, Freddy's lunge is normal. It just looks really long because he's a small guy with a short weapon and he needs to have the same lunge speed / distance as all of the other killers, including the tall killers with bigger weapons.

Does he really though? Im all for adjust lunges and speeds to match height and weapons. Give pyramid head and oni longer swings at the cost of reduced attack speed and/or movement speed.
I guess making everything generic is the easy way out but killers are all different and may not hurt for them all to feel a little different.

From what I understand, the devs are worried that would make the game too complicated. They want the basics to be the same among killers to make them easier to play.

As far as I know, yes. Check the [wiki] out, for example; all killers have a standardized lunge range. T3 Myers is the only base speed killer I know of with a different lunge.
I agree it would be kind of cool if different killers had different lunges, but it's definitely easier for both sides that they're the same. That way neither killer will feel completely lost when playing as/against different killers. As is you're much more easily able to get the timing down without maining a given killer.

Used to be a thing for 110% killers. It was removed around Spirit iirc. Not sure why. I always assumed it was to balance the much stronger powers 110 killers tend to have.

Any time you see "normalized" or "standardized" in a multi-player game, it's a bad sign that devs don't know how to balance properly while maintaining any sort of uniqueness.

So how do you handle the hitbox while carrying? Give him lunge while carrying to compensate the basically lost ability to hit survivors while carrying someone? Would that lunge then be affected by the new lunge increase perk? I think it is not that easy
EDIT: also @notsandingsbums it is not the lunge that is the problem, it is mainly the hitbox. The cone in front of the killer that determines if a hit lands or not. Just to make that clear
