Frustrating game

So, just had the most frustrating game I've ever had, 4 friends decided to bring in 4 fog darkener items and 3 of them used dark clothes models, although 1 decided on a garish shell suit. They simply refused to do any gems for about 45 minutes it was me wandering about trying to find them. I struck lucky and saw 1, got a hook and went from there, but I came so close to rage quitting because of it. In the end I got 3 kills, but the last escaped through the hatch.
What's the best thing to do in that situating because its annoyed the bejeezus out of me. Also, if you are one of them and reading this, you are an absolute "insert rude word here".
