If Moris and keys guaranteed at least a safety pip to the opposing side.

I know both can suck for the opposing side.

I hate a quick game that depips me. I know rank is meaningless, but I have one more goal left that I set for myself. Solo high red rank.

As a killer, so many just close app if you play a mori that they can be counter productive.

So what if it became at minimum a safety pip, ofcourse if you do better, you keep that.

It certainly could make those games a little more fun and carefree then the sweat feast they often are. Thoughts?

    Killers should already get a Safety Pip when a Key is used. If you dont get a Safety Pip when they can use a Key, you most likely did not play good enough anyway so that the Key did not make any difference. Games with Keys are usually also not quick, at least not because of the Key, since the majority of Gens need to be repaired in order to escape (OR some Survivors are already dead, which should already be enough for a Safety Pip).

    Survivors can depip with a Mori far more often, depending when they get morid. If they are the first person hooked and the Killer tunnels them down, they will depip. If they are hooked at a later stage, they might safety pip.

    But I dont think that a guaranteed safety pip is the solution. Rather the Rework of both Moris and Keys.

    Personally I don’t care about pips so this wouldn’t make either keys or moris any more enjoyable for me.

    I can certainly agree that the tendency is for survivors to lose pips more than killers in this scenario. I think it is just nice to apply these conditions to both sides.

    Reworking Mori and keys are coming, but my guess is Mori changes are going to be more substantial than keys, which perhaps it should be

    Yeah, I mean, I had such a situation just today:

    Played Pig on Wreckers Yard, were on 9 Hooks, 2 Survivors dead, 1 Gen to go. Aaand one of them got a Key in a Chest (Plunderers) and both escaped. I would have gotten at least a 3K (One of them was on Death Hook, the other person was just hooked once). I got a Blackpip in the end, but I still felt robbed. (The game was not miserable at all and I was not mad at the Survivors, they played well and in a way that both sides have fun)

    If I would have depipped and got a safety pip, because they used a Key, I would still feel robbed, despite getting a "participation prize".

    And as Survivor, its the same, if I got to play for 2 minutes after getting morid by that Iri Head Huntress, I would not think that the game was any better when I got a Blackpip instead of the Depip.

    So for me, nothing would really change.

    Everyone talks about it, but i've never seen anybody mentioning that key can only be used when killer closed hatch or you finished 5 actions and didn't die before that. Ofc other survivors can pick up the key if you have no addons for saving it. Then you need to find the hatch which sometimes is impossible to do and ONLY after that you can escape. Ik it goes easier for ppl playing swf but not for me who plays only duo/solo. And if you take a key, it almost everytime will be a mori from the killer. And probably you'll be tunneled after that.

    As for the mori...Well, you need to hook survivor once (if its ebony or green one) and then you can tunnel and kill them. Or just kill them a little bit later. No other conditions. All you need is just to hook which is not a big deal if you know how you play.

    I don't have super accurate statistic from my games but i can honestly say that i died from mori faaaar more times than escaped with a key. As well as tunneled right after i got unhooked even if it was a green key.

    This is an interesting take on things.

    Personally, I wouldn’t mind it. I’m all for Keys and Moris to be reworked of course, but if they just made it so that everyone can safety pip, then I wouldn’t mind.

    I’m also one of those people who cares about getting at least a safety pip with matches sooo.. yeah.

    i dont care about pips at all. i care only about having fun. and these 2x items are not fun for sure.

    Certainly can understand that. For me I guess going into a game, knowing no matter what I was getting a Safety. I could play a little loose and for fun

    I didn't really consider plunderers tho

    Agreed, but perhaps it would allow you to try some things you wouldn't normally do in a game.

    Different techs or the like

    That is me too. I like to try to pip up.

    For me being a good productive teammate is a high priority, but I enjoy a good pip as well.

    Like you said at least a Safety
