I don't get the 'killer is stressful' attitude~
As a killer main its like I have a never-ending rotation of prey to hunt! A constantly rotating buffet of people to hunt! The thrill of the chase excites me! The hook at the end is just validation! The SMACK sometimes I legit find myself licking my lips at the computer in anticipation for it. This game pushes buttons for me.
Anyone else? Just the anticipation of hunting my prey sets off dopamine for me. Playing killer is incredibly cathartic for me. And the fact that more people want to play survivor... more people want to be my prey than want to hunt? Well that just means more for me! More to EAT! I grin at my computer every time I yank someone out of a locker. Every time someone is downed to my power at a critical moment. I am baffled as to how killer is the less popular side to play, but I'm not complaining! It means I don't have to share my food!

Hmm i think you may need to seek some psychiatric help. Killer is more stressful as you have to juggle a bunch of things at once where as survivor you must sit on gen and loop killer.

It's not less popular but but its stressful your up against two things
One surrvivors and two the entity yes the entity.
Surrvivors go like this there either good or bad there's no inbetween
That meg is gonna be 40 iq and drop pallets for no reason or 100 iq and know her stuff.
And it don't help when she brings a iri key meaning you have to worry about only 4 gens getting done which is some pressure, and spawned a Haddonfield offering.
On top of that survs can get cocky and if they're cocky and good your gonna have a bad time however for the most part it's not the survs that are the main bulk.
The entity. She's a damm troll don't belive me.ook below
Yes entity send me too macmillian when I cancelled the offering.
At the end of the day she's the one spawning the tiles, meg didnt put 6 pallets in wards main building. Entity did.
The entity expects you to know your stuff while also just taking a dump at you every moment. It knows you we'd to remain calm, a calm killer has a higher chance to win but she will just crank out ormand with some annoying butt neas just to raise your blood pressure so high you might actually die.

Being powerful and dominate is not for everyone. I suppose people can't handle the weight of being a predator~ People would much rather be prey. To be hunted. To be food for me!

I don’t know why people are making fun, I enjoyed this post. It makes a nice change to see someone actually having fun in this game and getting into the role, rather than bitching about petty grievances.
6 -
You only cancel the increase odds of being send to a specific realm. The base chance does not change at all, so it's perfectly fine to be send to a realm for which an offering was used, even when you use the ward to cancel that.

Play survivor and you see what a difference it is. Survivor only have stressful moments when you are being chased more or less. Killer you have to constantly be on the move and awere of what is going on around you all the time. Some people feel at home in stressful situations I have a few of those at work, while most of us don't like stress.

I used to play killer 70% of the time when the game was newish, now it's the reverse, I play survivor about 70% of the time because it's less nerve-wracking, etc.

I do play survivor when I have a challenge I think I can do. Its a dread. A slow, pounding dread. But I do quite enjoy flirting with danger via acts of risky altruism, swooping in for the distrction, make one loop, tag the downed guy and split!
As killer its a constant stream of adrenaline.

I kinda hoped someone would make this joke.

Ah, this reminds me of early 2000's internet when people were much less worried about being judged, lol.
I like both, but I like survivor better. Killer is a constant stream of adrenalin but I get tired of that after a few rounds. Survivor has periods of downtime and while the engagements can be adrenalin inducing, I'm better at the role? Arguably killer takes more skill and it's all on you. Survivor is overall more fun for me.
If this weekend is any indication though with it's wait times, we need more people who prefer the killer role. Not to mention people would get better rank match ups.

This is good. Without DBD this man would be out trying to murder people. Praise be to the devs.

Yikes.

Getting into character in a game isn't needing psychiatric help. If you truly think this person is licking their lips in anticipation then you must not read a lot. It's flavor text if anything.

I dont have those same internal reactions, but I do appreciate killer more for the variety of characters, powers and perks. But I also get much more stressed with it bc I find it harder to win or to have a good match overall most of the time if playing on red ranks. On lower ranks if I need to rank up again it is pretty stale, bc it's too easy (unless it is right after rank down that mixes ranks), tending to look like when I have SWF matches as survivor, but without any joy of talking to friends and laughing when we overcome the killer.

I play both and i like killer more, but that doesn't mean it's not stressful for me. I can only play like 3 killer matches in a row in red ranks cause i get tilted easily. Yes it's fun and it feels more rewarding if you win because it's more demanding, but some people don't play games to have a constant adrenaline rush. Some just want to chill a bit because they have a stressful everyday life. Being in constant alert mode (which i am everytime when i play killer) is not so cool for several matches in a row if i had an exhausting day at work.

Cuz we all know the TC understands this game.
I mean if ur so good at killer that u never break a sweat and every moment u hit a survivor is a thrill, than yea, the TC is either psychotic, have a rare personality disorder where u can't feel anything including stress, or just dam good for such a long time that u forgot how it feels to be normal.
The 'fun' comes from how the killer plays. If killer does nothing, than survivors get to sit there and press a button.
The point is, the entire game is on the killer. Which makes it stressful.
I've played survivor where I just ran around collecting totems and chest. After the team died, I just escaped thru the hatch. No stress. But for killer it's stressful. We all know that. I'm pretty sure the TC knows this. And probably made a this thread for the lulz....

Whenever somebody asks me what things are cringe and edgy, I'll show them this post.

Alright on a serious note though, I used to have those reactions and excitement. But I enjoyed torturing people more. Forcing them to make decisions between life and death, and rewarding people who chose life. To me its less about the thrill of the chase because I'm going to catch you regardless, and more about what kind of ways I can ruin your day after you're downed and trapped. See thats the beauty in pig. Your hands are always clean. Because you're not the killer, the survivors are the killers. They work against their own interests, and instead of helping each other when the time is right they go all out for themselves. So in games I can be the judge of character, and punish people who fail to look out for anyone but themselves. Thats what its all about. The people who make others suffer die, and the 1 person who becomes the example of justice lives and is baptized by blood.

Cringe: Noun -A dislike of anything unque or creative, a distane for anything slightly outside the mundane.
"He had a flavor of icecream other than one of the top 3 most popular flavors. Pretty cringe."

Killer mains cannot STAND hearing other killer mains admit the game is fun and fair. That would expose how balanced their side actually it! I cant even mention Spirit being easy without getting flack its hilarious.

I don't get tilted easy. I went like 10 0k games in a row without getting tilted. Years of games like Runescape, Anything Artix Entertainment puts out, Most first party Nintendo titles, have conditioned me to not take any game seriously and to get into character as much as possible.
I also realy like being the one in power. I mean the game is pretty much a power fantacy for the killer. 4 real people run from you, have very limited ability fight back, and the only way they don't die they escape the trial. Trial for them. Sport for me.

If you don't think killer is stressful, I don't know what game you're playing.

Killer really isn’t that stressful most of the time. I’d say 90% of my killer games are really fun and hilarious, and I’m just an average boring person, not a psychopath. Maybe you should try to take the game a little less seriously.

I don't take it too seriously. But the numerous salty post I see on the forums suggests otherwise.
The results of one of the past surveys from I think April, also has it that ppl tend to not play killer cuz of how stressful it is. Overwhelming amount of surveyors stated that it was too stressful.
Ur actually in the minority, and not the majority.

Killer can be stressful if you're a casual player vs red rank swf.
You don't strike me as a casual player, and that's fine, keep hunting hungry hunter.

It can be stressful, but not always though, say if you had a stressful day and you decide to play killer ( If you get back around P.M time) it can turn into a literal nightmare at times

Woah, woah. That's way too positive of a post. Calm yourself.

That just adds to the power fantasy for me. I have the mind set the the survivors were set loose in the enclosure for me to play with. They exist in the trial for my entertainment. I get to be greedy and hunt them all so in that way I suppose they have fun, but as I said, the suvivors are there to make sure the killer enjoys themselves. In the game the Killers are the main characters.
