The Game is too esay for Killers

False. Solo survivors have tp rely on other survivors regardless of skill rank.
Just yesterday i played a match where i a long with all the other survivors lost the match to a Jake trying to get the archive challenge of saboing 12 hooks (collectively not all in the same trial. He would sabo hooks near generators being worked on and we all lost because he wanted to complete his archive challenge in one trial.

As a solo survivor not only due you have to try to outskill the killer, but you have to outskill other survivors too
0 -
Respectfully disagree. A team of 4 good survivors are much stronger than a good killer unless they're playing Spirit/Nurse, potentially Freddy.
Also yeah looking through the post history of this guy is a trip down survivor bias lane.
0 -
All you need to do is watch otzdarva. He gets 50+ winstreaks at red ranks with killers killer mains say are too weak.
Survivors are the role that is too weak atm.
1 -
I'm not survivor biased. I Play Killer too. And no not even a swf can't beat Freddy.
0 -
I wanna see you, Otzdarva spent 1000 of hours with the game. You sound confident, so I bet you would be able to prove it during a stream...
0 -
Playing killer doesn't require a lot of skill, you're giving him too much credit imo.
0 -
Actully no
0 -
I'm not a survivor main! I Play Killer like everyone else.
0 -
Just because you play killer doesn't mean you can't be biased. I play both sides as well and have been for almost 3 years now, the game is not easier for killers, if anything its tilted in the survivors favor imo.

His 4k streaks are trivial for 1 simple reason: He does them against random survivors who sometimes shouldn't even get matched with him. Last time I watched one of his matches he had green rank survivors and even a brown rank.
If he 4k'd against a team of 4 experienced survivors 50 times in a row then I would immediately demand killer nerfs.
Jendenise and her friends can probably escape 500 times in a row against Otz if they wanted to - while meme-ing around.
Noob3 escaped 50 times in a row as a solo survivor if I remember correctly, too.
So yeah - Kill or escape streaks really mean nothing.
0 -
Look at otzdarvas 50 4k killstreak with non meta killers at red ranks. Killer is obviously too easy right now.
If the above evidence doesn't show that to you, nothing will convince you.

50 games is a big enough sample size to be statistically significant (especially when they're all 4ks). I could use the normal distribution to give a confidence interval of such a player getting a 4k, but I'm too lazy.

There's some killers he couldn't get that with and I actively watch those videos already. No I don't think 1 streamer who basically lives on the game with the messed up matchmaking we have right now is any good indication of the overall balance of the game when both sides are on a even playing field. There's plenty of survivor players who also did 50 escapes in a row and even more and plenty of streamers who also escape regularly.
3 -
Ok I think this is one of the worst threads I've seen on here.
0 -
It's way harder to escape 50 times in a row. Many survivor main channels have only done it once, if at all.
0 -
Additionally looking at any tournament level play, survivors have the upper hand more often than not.
0 -
For some reason people on my threads are even worse. But that is relly my opinon.
1 -
Do you watch streaming SWF teams? Just curious.
Because all the SWF teams I watch literally meme around and usually still win more often than not.
A while ago Jendenise and her friends randomly ended up in Monto's lobby. Jendenise and Monto were streaming at the same time so they randomly faced each other.
That's skillful survivors vs a skillful killer.
They ended up destroying Monto without even trying and he was thinking they were stream-snipers.
That's how powerless he felt. They weren't even trying hard and didn't run optimal builds. He played Leatherface, too.
In terms of maximum potential survivors are definitely stronger than killers (maybe except for Nurse and Spirit) but when you play solo people literally don't know what they're doing which is why you die all the time even if you as 1 survivor play well.
2 -
They just faxed bad killers. Many SWF smurf.
0 -
Maybe its harder for you but again, in the overall game survivors have the upper hand more often than not. Also doing a quick YT search many more channels have high escape streaks and such and I only see Otz for killer and 1 Scott Jund where he plays Oni. Even saw 70+ escapes.
Otz is the exception not the rule, streamers are not a good indication for overall balance a lot of the time.
1 -
What? I don't understand what you just said lol.
0 -
The game ought to be balanced at the highest levels of play, not the lower levels of play. MMR will sort everything else out.
0 -
Well at the highest level of play, tournaments, survivors have the advantage more often than not (to my understanding), like previously stated. Otz even partook in one if you care.
0 -
Yes, I know the video. He got more points than they did.
0 -
Ok? Overall survivors had the advantage in the entire tournament from what I heard and understand.

This pasta is delicious

The devs would disagree. The fact that they're removing BL illustrates how killers are too strong atm.
0 -
Bad survivor: escaping 50 times in a row is harder then killers getting 50 4ks in a row
Meanwhile good survivor mains with multiple 100+ escape streaks(Yes this is real): O really?
0 -
I would hard disagree, the devs don't know the game very well if at all. They believe OoO is fine when its very clear its not and why to anyone who knows the game well.
The devs are probably the last place I'd look for how balanced the game is, and that's honestly kinda sad.
2 -
The devs would know more about balancing a game than either of us. Id say they have greater authority on the matter than you do.
0 -
iirc most of the devs play at very low ranks if they play at all. There's no reason for me to believe they are a better balance source when they have shown quite the opposite, especially recently. This BL test was probably one of the best steps they've taken in a while because they gave the testing to the community instead of relying on themselves and making probably another bad call. Now what they'll do with the info is another story that we'll have to wait and see.
0 -
Beyond just the ranks they play at, history has shown that in many ways they don't understand their own game. That DS, Mettle of Man, and Dying Light made it to the live game, and the fact that DS and Dying Light stayed as they were for so ridiculously long, are proof.
3 -
Yes and then we have things like the gearhead nerf, the previously stated OoO stance, and even the new killer chapter that the players found a massive issue with 1 hour into playing (lockers).
@JoeyBob Tagging you here as well since both of these posts apply to our conversation. Do I believe I could do a better job balancing? Honestly probably. Now not to say I think it would be amazing, its more because of just how poor it has been that even someone like me can see clear flaws. I would not like to do it alone either since I'm just one view point. Ideally I would put together a group of people in the community who seem to be very knowledgeable, content creator or otherwise, and make that part of the balance "team" as well. I don't understand why BHVR has not done the same or something similar.

The difficulty for Survivor is based on whether or not you're playing with friends. Solo is rough compared to SWF. Which is why I hate playing solo Survivor. Which is why I prefer playing Killer.
0 -
where'd you get it?
0 -
I think I'mma go thro this and correct u, respectfully of course
1.Being a killer in high ranks u have to rely on the mistakes of survivors to do much(not always, This actually only applies to SWF)
2. As a survivor u really don't need to know every inch, really only a few good ones(for ex: killer shack is easy to find on pretty much any outdoor map without knowing the map in and out) tho there r some exceptions to this as well
3. Killers actually have to counter survivors powers as well(ex:DS)
4.Killers don't have to rely on windows but they do have to rely on a area being pallet free unless they mind game, which survivors can do this too
5. Killers may b able to face camp but survivors have ALOT of options around this(remember if u r face camped ur team can pretty much all escape if u also put up a decent chase before hand) and while survivors deal with mori's killers deal with keys(both suck to go against and r pretty much a free win)
6.U actually have a point with the exit gates so I can't say much here except good teamwork conquers even this(but you'd probably need a SWF to do this)
Anyways feel free to explain y u agree r disagree, have a good day.

So prove it, I really wanna see you streaming, especially on Friday evening if you are confident enough.

Yeah I guess removing double shack window, getting exhaustion during sprinting, ect. we're all terrible choices.

im not blessed.. i just have 3K hours and dbd is my maingame and i main killer so i know what im doing and when i started i watched streamers that despise slowdown and have perks for chase instead so i just learnt the game a different way compared to you.. my main build on almost all killers is bbq, enduring, whispers, (random perk that isnt slowdown)..
tbf i play to have fun so i dont rly know how often i 4k.. i just know its almost every game on most killers that i have fun on.. so just keep practice and you get there..
for me both bloodlust, slowdown perks, strong addons hold your hand to much so if you learn the game with them you will never do well without them.. since i dont use that i know how to play without them and have learnt it that way wich will make killer very easy once i equip those.. but just keep playing and try to rely on your own skill and what to do in a chase and dont let a perk or addon do it for you..
i like the feeling when i know i did well and didnt get carried.. yes you will lose much learning but its worth it for the satisfaction..
0 -
no because of anxiety and stress but i know some streamers with same thoughts and ideas as me that also feel the same as me when it comes to killers and slowdown perks.. they are the reason i know how to play without it..

So many ppl claim killer is a million times harder because they say it's too stressful right. 99% of the time that's a problem for them, because so many killers come into games with an attitude of i need to 4k and if not this game is unbalanced. There are however some killer players out there who come in with a very chill mindset and I think ppl need to look up to them more. Sometimes its not just about kills, but about your peformance, because like how you can play well and still loose, you can play awful and still win, but ppl won't acknlowledge those games.
Long story short, playing killer and thinking you need to 4k/win is the same as playing in a 4man and trying to get everyone out and escape every game. Stressful experiences.

I will take one while I watch everyone fall for the bait lmao

I have a similar winrate. But lately im been thinking isnt it pointless, when i win because the survivors are bad? The matchmaking is not good and a lot of survivors dont know how to play and so i win because they make many mistakes. Isnt it the same as playing against your little brother and destroying him? Do i get better with that? Should i have fun destroying weaker players?
But when you watch tournaments you see how strong survivor are. Should i really care that killer are too strong against bad players? Should i really balance around players who dont even understand the potential? In a perfect world i can balance it for every skill level, but this is a asymmetric game. When both sides are bad mostly the single player role wins. When we balance around the bad players we can use the mapdesign of the beta, killrates were higher then now.
1 -
Balance wise the game is actually in a decent spot. Gens still go very fast but at least the stronger killers have ways to deal with that, at least on balanced maps.
I have to say the second half of your second paragraph actually does make some sense, as I agree that camping and tunneling are a problem in this game, and it sadly does drive some people away. But it's ruined by the rest of your post. Like what even is that first paragraph?
Also, as far as I can tell, the game certainly doesn't have a shortage of survivor players. I am constantly getting almost instant queue times with killers. Doesn't really seem like killers are so much better than survivors.

- You are rlying on other players for success.....you're just relying on them to fail and die.
- If you don't learn the maps as a killer you're not going to perform as well....this logic applies to both sides.
- No....you just have to know how to counter survivor perks
- It works the opposite for killers, we prefer areas without tons of pallets windows vaults etc
- Right, we as killers have to get in situations that don't promote camping so that we can effectively pressure an entire team and not just 1 person so that we win the entire game not just 1 hook.
- No, instead, we have to hope the gates do spawn close.
Everything you're saying right now if you think about it from the other sides perspective you'll find that both halves are the same.
0 -
Doesn't that speak more about how bad survivors are at the game than have anything to do with the killer?
0 -
Well thats why i dont run slowdown perks or strong addons, to give myself a challenge because good players are very rare
0 -
Hi
You are wrong. Thanks for your feedback. Killers are weaker then survivors. If a killer goes against the survivor SWF, the killer will lose way more then they win. This is not a debate. Too many sources can prove this and do again and again on these forums.
