Can I get banned for a bug? I promise I wasn't hacking.

So I'm playing Hag. My perks are Hex: Ruin, Hex: Devour Hope, Hex: Thrill of the Hunt, and Surveillance. The map is Swamp. There is 1 gen remaining.


(I will end up posting this to the bug section, right now this is a question and I'm on mobile, the bug reporting thing looks difficult so I'm going to do it on my laptop when I get a chance.)


So I'm midchase when all of a sudden I can't move more than a step without teleporting back to one spot. I chalk it up to my internet having a seizure, but out of curiosity I place a trap. It goes down fine; when I'm lagging I usually glitch a bunch while placing traps. Then I try Lunging. I can move now, but I'm moving constantly at the speed of the lunge. My lunge finished, I can attack again, but my speed is that of a lunge, for a second I was excited, I ran and hit a survivor, but then I saw it from their perspective and got nervous. All of a sudden this Hag that they had been destroying stayed still for a minute before gaining superspeed. So I went and opened the exit gates, (they finished the gen right after I hit the survivor,) and I stood in the corner, waiting for them to leave.


Can I get banned for this? The survivors were good sports, matchmaking screwed me over but they weren't rude, they took the win, no teabags, no pointing, just really good looping and avoiding my traps, leaving me helpless most of the match. If by some miracle one of the survivors see this, (It was a Steve, a Laurie, and 2 Claudettes,) I really wasn't hacking, I promise.

    Unless you can somehow consistently trigger said bug every match (and then proceed to do so willingly for a easy 3/4K in multiple matches) then no, you won't for a single instance of stumbling across a bug.

    Yeah, if you come across a bug it happens, but if you actively exploit it in multiple matches then you'll get banned. It's hilarious when it happens though XD I got one playing against a Legion where I got stuck in the speed boost after getting hit once. I had some fun and ran him around for a bit (there were 4 gens and 2 Survivors including me, so I wanted some fun from a bad game) outrunning him in Frenzy :p after a minute or so though I let him hook and suicided, told him what happened so he didn't report me. Never got that bug again.

    Only if they have proof you've been abusing it on multiple occasions in different games
