Change Undying And Rework Totems

People on the forums seem to think that this "Ruin/Undying" combo is strong, when it's not. Completely unreliable. While at the same time wasting a perk slot for Killer to do something in theory should be basekit Totems in the first place (minus the aura reading ability).

What I propose is to rework Undying entirely into something else. Then rework how totems work. Make it so that Killer's can "Hex" Dull Totems they find on the map (or show them a yellow aura when you have a Hex available). So a Killer has more control over the placement of their totems, and can gain the benefit of a totem at the cost of time to perform the Hex (like choosing to break a wall). Then if the Hexed totem is cleansed. The Killer can just Hex a new totem.

Easy solution, and how totems should work. Right now they are useless and unreliable. They are also confusing the inexperienced players with how they are right now.

Sounds cool but a bit strong. One of the things with hexes at the moment is how unrliable their spawns are and being able to chose where to put your totems is a really cool idea but I don't think being able to respawn totems should be basekit and object will be even more annoying if it now not only gives their team wall hacks and ruin killers like trapper or hag but not it also ruins hexes. Cool idea but OoO needs to be changed and undying should have the ability to let you rehex totems so it isnt base kit.

    #place-abletotems

giving the killers control over where the totems are placed solves at least three major issues:

    1. Devs don't have to constantly update totem spawns and can instead devote resources to something else
    2. Totem spawns are not static throughout matches so survivors can't simply memorize totem locations and check without seeing them.
    3. If a totem breaks, the killer can't feel like it was just bad RNG. Since totems can be more well hidden (map-seed specific), survivors get an added benefit of knowing the killer has been at least once to the location of where the hex is to help them find it.
