We NEED a spirit nerf
Ok... I would consider myself a good survivor and I despise spirit. Why? She has little to no counter play, all you need is loud sound a few hours and your top tier. I’m pretty sure I speak for my fellow survivors when I say she is maybe the best 1v1 killer. Please bring back the directional sound and make it so the scratch marks are non-existent. Really bring her back to Earth, or the realm

Directional sounds made her a complete joke.
Spirit is annoying, but there are a lot of things that need nerfs before Spirit.

There are no directional sounds for her anymore, that was a bug and has been fixed as of a few patches ago. But yes I agree she doesn't need any nerfs.

I'm not gonna say Spirit does or does not need a nerf, but how about we focus more on addressing the huge power disparity between SWF and solo queue before we go around nerfing any Killer?
I don't think she needs to be weakened when there are basically two levels of play that any Killer goes up against; one that can combat Spirit and the other that can't. We should bring those two groups together and then adjust her, or potentially don't adjust her, accordingly.

I literally just went against a spirit that seemed to know what she was doing, but since I play spirit all the time, I knew how to counter what she was doing. Do you ever play killer? If not you should. It's a bit stressful but it gives you context on the killer strats and helps with your surv gameplay.
And if you don't wanna do that?

Yeah legion got nerfed a lot because of SWF and was too op, break loops, boom nerfed a hate does people they nerf a killer because they play bad as hell and its the killer problem, not them.

I imagine that people that make posts like these wouldnt be able to do anything against high ranked survivors if they were the ones playing spirit. They dont know how to counter her cause theyve never played her at high level

Every killer can be worked around and every killer can be beaten. Every killer has perks that mitigate their power. A handful of killers require more thought than "hold w til a see a wall, a window, and a pallet"

Her directional bug made her brain-dead boring and too easy to counter! You wanna make scratch mark non existent when those have been bugged since forever? What would you suggest giving her in compensation?
"She has little to no counter play!" Are you sure your not the problem in just trying to mindlessly loop her like every other killer and getting mad that you have to use your brain and rely on other tactics to deal with her?
Spirit is a product of what's wrong with looping! She flips the script on survivor's and make's them guess just like her Grandpa, brother's and sister's have to do!
If you don't wanna play Spirit to get a general idea of how she thinks and how she play's than I suggest you sacrifice one of your meta perks for Spine Chill. But don't be surprised when you run into a Spirit that can identify Spine Chill and can play around it!
This Spirit hate needs to stop, she's one of few killer's that I actually enjoy playing against because she's not a Shift + W counterplay killer! If she was and all killer's were Shift + W counterplay. I'm pretty sure there would be no killer's for survivor's to play against

Exactly this. They need to just add text chat and more auras for survivors and rebalance the game from there. That emulates the info survivors in discord have with all the extra info they can share.
Won't happen though because that doesn't generate $$$ for the work involved.

Just remember, they defended god nurse relentlessly. I played spirit with meh perks and solely relied on phasing and nearly won every match for several r1 seasons. For anyone who likes a challenge that gets boring fast but many just want cheap wins and spirit with any meta build will do it. I had complete control over almost every game as Spirit. More consistent control than I ever could have as survivor.
Spirit is a free win killer. You can make multiple mistakes with very little punishment. She is like nurse but with very little skill ceiling. I'm a terrible killer main, I've completely forgotten how to run tiles but damn I could phase ggez bc she totally ignores them. Took killer mains forever to put her above billy tier. Killer mains are slow and dishonest. Dont be afraid to voice your opinion, the devs do pay attention. Most of us have 1000s of hours on both sides of the game and know how broken spirit is. Ignore these noob killers lol. Their opinions are loud on the internet bc survs can vent with their friends instead of having to whine on reddit.

Spirit has counterplay and top tier teams show that.
In tournament play, Spirit does decently against survivors and has a roughly 50% win rate.
In tournament play, Nurse is slightly overpowered with a higher winrate.
Every other kill is not viable in tournament play. Literally the only 2 viable killers are nurse and spirit. Spirit is fine, Nurse does need a nerf though.

Nurse needs a nerf?
First of all, she hasn't been fixed, she's riddled with bugs. Midwich bug is still there since PTB, you can lose your second blink, that bug hasn't been fixed for a year and a half now.
You still can't port properly in Hawkins, you can't port to some balconies in Saloon, you can't port in some of the kitchens in Springwood.
Nerf...lol, nerfing Nurse after they slapped on a cooldown bar AND made all her addons except for 3 memes.

Juking works for me a lot of times.
Vs Deathslinger, i have a special trick. I not only listen to his terror radius, i also use these globe things in my face. With the right positioning on a gen, you can SEE him before he is there, and if you then dont just wait till he is there, you can get away. Not even a perk needed.
Sure, it might not work on every gen on every gen, but every killer has his weak points. And i am a survivor main that has no problems with any killer (and that doesn´t mean i escape all the time, but pretty often).
I kept statistics for some time, and i wish devs would emplement this into the game. Because i think a lot of people would change their views if they had results at their hands.

Yes, even just giving a chase indicator and number of times hooked for each Survivor on the status HUD would go a LONG way to improving things.

Imo there are more important things that need changes first but my opinion was to swap her iri addon that give her the ability to see blood to be basekit and then make scratch marks be her iri addon this mean to injure someone you either have to chase as a 110 killer or rely purely on sound it would also make healing more important

If you have problems with killers buff yourself by practice and get better. No need for killer nerfs just split up, do gens and get out. Killers have more reason to complain about gen speeds etc. No killer is OP.

I'm a nurse main with 1.4k hours. I literally can't remember the last time i didn't 4k as nurse, i think i'm like 100+ games in now at least. Nurse is far any away the best killer in the game because she completely ignores all the mechanics of the game. Yes, she has a lot of bugs, but even with those she is miles ahead of every other killer.
The problem isn't that she needs a nerf. She needs a total rework. Literally her power by definition can't be balanced properly, against a good nurse, it has 0 counterplay.

Even just a sound effect to tell you shes phasing in a chase would make her tolerable. As it is there's just no back and forth in the chase. She's extremely uninteractive for survivors and it makes for a boring game. Nowadays I just sandbag my way out of the game against a Spirit and either find another game or play killer.
