Survivor Points

This might just be because I'm used to playing killer, but dang it is hard to get points as a survivor. A while game where I do a bunch of gens and survive and I only get like 9 thousand points. Not much my fault if the killer never chases me.

As killer if the survivors suck, you get very little points

As survivor if the killer sucks you get even LESS points.

They seriously need to find better pointing systems man.

(Also side note the spamming struggle phase is BS. Teammate was coming to save but I guess I held the button for a microsecond to long and now we're both dead)

A bad round as killer always gives me more points than a bad round as survivor. I guess it's to get more people to play killer?

Yeah it's tough. I usually have to play killer with BBQ just to be able to level up more than half a bloodweb at a time... And what's even worse is when you can't even get the perks you want on a character until passing through level 50 multiple times over 😒

When survivor add-ons used to be really good, I'd imagine it would mess up the in game economy if survivors where making it out of nearly every game with 50,000+ bp and spending it on insta-medkits, intsta-gens, keys & maps. Shame you have to be Super-man to barely get 32k as survivor :/

It makes sense that the killer would get more. They have to be there until the very end of every single game. There's no quick death halfway through the match and queueing into another.

That said, the post-game cap should be doubled and both roles should earn a lot more. It's such a pointless grind right now, and the grind only gets more annoying with each new addition to the game.

Yeah I have a hard time letting go of WGLF when playing survivor. The amount of bloodpoints you get otherwise is so miniscule that it's ridiculous.

Yeah and in order to get WGLF you have to grind a character up to level 35. Feelsbadman

Well there needs to be some form of incentive to play the more stressful role right?

On another note perk tiers should be long gone by now given the sheer amount of perks there are now.

Ya i always run bbq on killer. WGLF isn't as reliable unfortunately. Used to always run it as well but would often get 0 stacks unless I go out of my way to camp for a save before teammates and take protection hits. WGLF needs a buff.

Still though, killer deserves the most points.

    Playing survivor you have to

Do gens... and open the exit gates

Get chased or do 2 or 3 totems... or spend time in the killers Terror Radious

Heal teammates (that want to selfcare)

    And survive

Now the issue I see is that healing other survivor should allocate points to survival... and gens also should allocate points to survival

Just finished a match where one survivor performed 4 unsafe hook removals. During the time it took them to do that I was able to finish about 1 and a half gens.

Anyone that's played this game as a survivor very long knows the survivor that actively sabotaged the whole team walked out of that match with more points than the other 3 survivors.

Survivor bloodpoints have absolutely nothing to do with how well a survivor played. As a matter of fact selfish play is often more rewarding than playing well.

As a survivor main I've had to quit caring about bloodpoints. The way they are awarded provides incentive to ignore objectives and not play smart.

Only 30, actually; 35 is Dead Hard and 40 is No Mither. BBQ is 35 from Bubba.

Prove thyself doubles the blood points you earn from co-op activity. I also like stake out, so I get more great skill checks, because I'm bad at hitting them normally.

Also if the killer is bad, and you haven't gotten your boldness and altruism points, why not go find the killer and take aggro for a bit. If the team trades off taking agro and healing each other you get more bloodpoints.

Yeah exactly. I like playing survivor more, but when I need bloodpoints, I play killer with bbq

I found that the only way to make WGLF reliable is to take a hit while a survivor is being carried. It counts as a protection hit, and since so many survivors try and rush in for the save it's nice knowing that there is another way. Just carry a flashlight, at least that way if it doesn't work you'll still get a stack.

Yeah sometimes I like to play the support role on my team so I'll run a build that improves healing and the like. But what's so frustrating is that even if I do well at healing others and cleansing totems, if I don't manage to also get into a chase with the killer and do a lot of gens, then the game sees that as a failure and gives me a pitiful amount of blood points. It sucks!

I think thats a weak stance. I play killer because I enjoy it, not for BP. Truth of the matter is survivors have always been boned hard on BP and it gets worse every chapter.

Still when one survivor game barely completes half a level 10 blood web, 30 is hefty

The BP gain on both sides needs to be revisited. The number of perks is going to keep growing...

I would rather see them add some more options to get points in the survival category and removing perk tiers.

That would be the perfect change imo

Ya the rank/BP system is trash. I'm sure we've all had those survivor games where the killer gets stomped. Gens fly, no hooks, no chases and you escape in 6 mins only to safety pip at best...

I changed my struggle keybind to Q and I keep on spamming it. I always die, same with spacebar. So I actually agree with you.

You can facecamp as bubba with NOED and still get 20K+

The survivor that smartly does the gens and swiftly escapes unharmed gets less than 10K.

The way the game awards points is so unfair.

I agree with this. I also wish there was like an offering / add on like trade in system. Like I have 20 lerys offering on hillbilly that will NEVER be used, but I have no survivor pudding or stuff that will be used. So let us like trade in what we have for slightly less points so we can continue through the blood web a) faster and b) with what we want. Too bad people would abuse the shite out of it though.

Also I ######### love your username. Golden

It is hard to find any sort of system that is rewarding for multiple playstyles

Yea that needs to be fixed... but can't say first

I would expand the ranks (10-1 for each color)... then fix how points are allocated and earned

But that might be too much
