Exhausted on the ground
What is the point of dedicated servers, hitbox validation, etc. if at least once per trial I use Dead Hard, get hit, but get an "exhausted" status effect while I'm laying on the ground? The server obviously recognized that I used Dead Hard AS the killer swung. So why am I not rewarded for having good instincts/reaction time? Why am I CONSTANTLY exhausted after I've been downed?

it's called latency, and since it would be odd and not even fair to either one of you to put you back on your feet you stay down, but that is very rare because if that happens server should remove exhaustion immediately.

The Devs are currently reworking Dead Hard to make it work on Dedicated Servers. Dead Hard was created with P2P in mind, meaning that the Killer always had 0 Ping, since they were the Host.
With Dedicated Servers, Dead Hard became a Perk which rarely works if you want to dodge a Hit by using invincibility frames. They just revealed that they are working on it a few weeks ago, and given the time it took them to rework the last batch of Perks, I would say it will take them up until 6 months to finish the Rework.
