Xbox Controller Issue

Hey All,

Im not sure if this is a known thing but i have an issue if im playing a game on the Xbox and my controller dies during the game, if i switch to my other controller, the game doesnt detect it! the console does, as in i can open the HUD and click home etc but the game, i cant control the character at all until i restart Dead by Daylight.
