New Gameplay Mechanic: DOORS!

Doors that can be locked/barricaded should be added to certain maps, particularly indoor maps. They could replace a few pallets and windows at least and it would be something that you do BEFORE a chase instead of during, so it waste a little survivor time but with a benefit.

What if in order to lock/barricade these doors survivors would have to repair them? 10-15 seconds and it would take the killer about 4-5 seconds to break it down, why so long you ask?

If BHVR positioned these doors right they could act as passable walls for survivors to change the map layout on the killer without the obviousness of a pallet drop. These aren't just chase breakers! Long hallway on Midwich? Generator right next to a door? No problem! Fix that bad boy first and now the killer can no longer simply waltz in and murder you, he has to either

  1. Go through another entrance
  2. Spend a few seconds breaking down these sweet new doors, giving you ample time to escape. (Unless it's a spirit, then gg)

Meanwhile you can silently slip through the door at the cost of 2.5 seconds, or quickly which will create a notification and leave the door AJAR. While the door is ajar replace the 4-5 second 'Break' action with a 1 second 'Open' action for the killer, making doors less effective than pallets in a chase but great at prevention, just how doors should be.

I could think of a few perks or ways to turn this into an item, but I think it'd work better as part of the game. It would be a great way to trap for some killers too.

Also, have doors never been brought up before?
