Should you camp the basement as a Killer?
I find myself downing survivors near the basement a lot and I usually hook them there, provided I have enough time. But I'm not sure if I should be staying near the basement to intercept any would-be unhookers or just leave to find a survivor working on a generator. What would be the most effective thing to do after hooking a survivor in the basement, or should you never even bother with the basement?

It really depends on the situation. In terms of what choice you should make, I don't think it's different than hooking a single survivor anywhere else except that it's easier to defend if you do see someone heading for the unhook. If you hook 2+ survivors down there, that's when it becomes more advantageous to stay close or outright camp.

Keep camping basements so survivors learn not to down near basements.
It's a learning curve for survivors. They learn slow.
Basement camping will teach them a lesson.

It's totally not like some maps have basement in the middle of the map 😂

yes, thats the only real way to get value out of basement hooks. if you aren't staying near it its wasted time

Depends on the situation, but it does place the survivors in a hard situation. If you play it correctly, you can either kill the hooked individual or force a switch, or even a 2-man basement hook, which guarantee's the win.

Anything besides hacking is fair game.
If you get basement hooked it's your own fault.

You can play the game however you want as long as youre not breaking the rules and using exploits.
Dont let anyone tell you otherwise

You must protect the basement chest at all cost...

As Trapper main, I love Wrecker yard alot, since there is no main building, and basement always spawn in the shack in the middle of map. Sometimes I like to play basement Trapper (Agitation, Iron grab, Mad grit), everysingle down is a basement hook.

It depends. If you hook 2 people in basement, and know someone is around the basement waiting for you to leave- the time it takes the other guy to do ONE gen is going to be the death of someone probably. Especially if stage 2.
If you camp somewhat, they will probably both come down to try and save them and you can do some real damage.
If you put one person in the basement and you have traps or something, and everyone else is on a gen, then you are gonna have better luck dropping traps and moving out.

You: survivors should learn not to down near basement
People: but some maps have basement in the middle of the map
Me: and Trapper with fast hook perks even make it easier to basement hook in those map
You: I dont get it.
And you said survivor learning curve is slow...

You don't like how its objectively easier to play killer now than its ever been before?
Do you want them to nerf killers or something?
