What if the twins was an actual 2 player killer rather than 2 killers controlled by one player
Twins in their design with 1 person controlling 2 characters both of which aren't too strong on their own in most situations makes me think that twins wasn't designed to be 1 person switching between 2 killers but instead was meant to be something more like an actual 2 person killer, now whether this idea was scrapped or not was probably not even attempted because of all the factors involved, such as how to have 2 killers queue together and what do for solo queue killers in this case is unknown.
However the question we can ask is do you think the twins would be more fun as a 2 person killer and do you think this would make them more fun to play as and against

It would be neat if 2 players could control the twins but there would have to be a bunch of changes to them to make them fair to go up against, otherwise they'd probably be one of the best killers since you can have 2 people pressuring the map at the same time.

but there is a good amount to remember even in its current state, victor on his own cannot down a survivor from healthy or hook survivors, charlotte on her own is a 115% speed killer who would be getting slowed down whenever victor gets kicked for the unbind victor animation, it would be closer to spirit esc gameplay where it revolves around charlotte injuring targets and victor finishing them off for optimal gameplay which sounds close to spirit esque gameplay with charlotte having to follow up after as basically a cleaning crew or legion esque trying to finish off an injured target with your kidnapped brother on them
even then I think they would still be outclassed by some killers but I think its alright to have a strong killer if it requires coordination and teamwork
the gameplay seems it would be closer to a mix of spirit esque and legion esque gameplay

it would be cool for the simple fact it's changing the base game mechanics..it'd be something completely different.
I doubt it would be "OP", two people not on comms, one of them can't down healthy survivors and still gets cucked by lockers. You're still facing a basic M1 killer and then adding an extra goblin running around..i think it'd be fun from both perspectives

thats what I thought but the only change I think would have to be made would be, give a small stun for 3-4 seconds when victor latches onto someone and a brief invulnerability after hitting a survivor with charlotte so you can't instadown people if you are that coordinated

Twice the campage!
Charlotte can just camp while Victor just pressures the map - easy 4k every time.
And forget about ever escaping end game collapse.

depends all if you keep the split between Charlotte and Victor: if the two players play at the same time, then it would be pretty hard to balance, at least for solos. If you keep the switch between the two, then it would be pretty much the same, it would be slightly better if you play with a "Victor main", but the issues with the killer would remain.

the two player is kinda at a balance itself already, victor can't hook survivors and neither has an easy time downing survivors without the other, they would be strong but probably not the strongest

ah yes victor the one who can only injure people and can be kept for 45 seconds can pressure the entire map

They really need a 2v6 gamemode, even if it's only in KYF. 2v6 would be so damn fun

If you think this patch was buggy, imagine the devs needing to redevelop how killers are built into the game to allow a 2 player killer and the net code optimization that would need to come with it.

they have a team of 600 people, I think they would be able to manage if they tried

I remember when the bug was still around for multiple killers in kyf it was a lot of fun to have 2 burger king myers working together to try and kill the survivors

I think it would be so cool if they were 2 people playing 1 killer but there would have to be a new gamemode and to make it fair have 6 / 8 survivors. When I thought of the killer originally I thought it was 2 players xD it just sounds like it was an idea originally but they didn't want to make another gamemode or whatever.

even with 2 people I don't think the twins would even have the potential to be the best killer in the game maybe top 5 for a 2v4

they could make it where Victor can't attack while in Charlotte's terror radius.. then you wouldn't have insta down potential
but whose perk loadout would the game select? it's nice to think about but the devs couldn't manage a two player killer.. they can't seem to manage the twins with 1 person controlling them

Idk I could see people who main survivor thinking it would be hilarious to grief with victor and just let survivors kick him the whole match

This would improve peoples attitudes to playing the killer but rather than making it online 2 player killer have it as a splitscreen only killer the smaller screensize would be a decent balance for how the killer is currently and the killer would be unavailable unless theres a second controller detected

victor is strong enough with communication to not have perks and only charlotte as an m1 killer should get perks

Playing Charlotte would be boring.
Also imagine matchmaking when two people are looking for killer together.
Lastly this is dbd could you imagine the bugs. People would be able to play two different killers in one game. Imagine Nurse and Spirit in one game.

yea but besides those factors of match making and bugs, would it be fun for 2 people "queued together probably no mm for solo twins" to play together as the twins

Gonna be honest I don't think so. I'd hate to get Charlotte also hwoever gets Victor probably would be invincible.
