do devs take character concepts and actually consider them?

I was wondering if they do because I have a few concepts that I made.

    Honestly, I'm not sure what the answer to that truly is. So, maybe?

    They probably won't outright take your idea(s) and put it into the game, but it's entirely possible that your concepts could inspire aspects of future killers/perks.

    The "Creations" sub-forum is the place to go to for sharing that kind of content.

    I might think so, for one, a killer perk I created before The Blight came out, was a perk where if you got stunned, lose a survivor in a chase or blinded, would call upon the entity to block the pallets for a certain range. It was a fan made chapter, here we are now with a perk that blocks pallets, so maybe they do maybe they don't

    They have said that they won't directly take ideas or concepts from fans or the forums, but if it inspires them down the road that's ok.

    I would say they do... I´ve made a couple of suggestions in the past and even since noone of them ever said anything or commented anything they somehow all made it into the game. Some examples...

    -Huntress Owl Mask (When the Shop System was released I wrote that an Owl Mask would be nice for the Huntress. A couple of weeks later it was available in the Store)

    -Leatherface (long time ago I posted a Killer concept of a Cannibal Killer who was supposed to be a fat, huge guy who chased the Survivors for their flesh and who could break pallets just by running at them when he get´s into a frenzy. Somewhat later along came Leatherface)

    -Deathslinger (also longer ago I posted a Killer concept of an undead Diver, equipped with a harpoon which he should be able to fire at Survivors and reel them towards him. Deathslinger came who isn´t a Diver but the rest of it kind of matches my concept)

    -Demogorgon Perk Surge (also longer ago I posted a concept of a Pyromaniac Killer who should come with a perk that makes all Generators explode within a radius arround him when a ceratain event is triggered)

    -The Plague (Same concept about the pyromaniac Killer. The Pyromaniac was supposed to be corrupted by radioactive Material and he should have been able to spread the corruption to survivors and make them sick. The Plague came out and she does exactly that. I also asked for a really tall killer, preferably a female, several times in Chats with the Devs on their personal Twitch Streams... a little while later the Mile High Plague was released)

    -The Domogorgon (In a chat with one of the Devs on Twitch I told him that they should get the license for The Cabin in the Woods and make it into a game like DbD. So he asked "why, we already have DbD which is actually just like that". I said "No it´s not, because you guys said that all Killers either are or were human and that only human killers will get into the game. If you would take the concept of The Cabin 9n the Woods you could also open the Gates for Killer Creatures, which would lead to more game content to be sold. Months later the Stranger Things chapter was announced and the Devs said that they retreat from their point of view regarding only human Killers)

    -The Twins (a while back I posted the concept of an Evil Twin Killer where you can control one while the other one is at another point of the map giving clues to the active one. Players should have been able to switch between them both (active/passive). Now Charlotte and Victor kind of do exactly this)

    I don´t want to say that they actually used any of my ideas but I think they look at peoples concepts and use certain things that they find useful for their ideas on new concepts, and I´m good with that.
