Are people still enjoying killer?
I'm just curious how much people are enjoying killer at the moment. I have been enjoying killer for some time but in the last 5 montths or so I have been losing more and more motivattion. But it might just be me getting burned out and doing worse for that reason, so I wanted to hear what others have to say.
Obviously this patch has added many bugs as well that's making the game even more frustrating, but I'm rather talking generally.
I think what's really ruining it for me, besides frustrating bugs with the individual killers, is the sound bug. It's been a whole year since they broke the sound and nothing has been fixed.
And of course there's gen rush. Now it's debateable whether the gens go too fast or not. I actually think gens are balanced on certain maps at least, differing between killers of course. But that doesn't change the fact that the way gens work now just makes killer gameplay very stressful at times, whether the gens are balanced or not. And that coupled with all the bugs in the game and losing survivors because the sound doesn't work, is just frustrating to me personally.

I only play killer if I have to (for the Rift or daily rituals) other than that, I have more fun playing survivor. I get stressed out playing killer sometimes lol however, with the recent latency issues, playing survivor is also literally a hit or miss doing anything involving a chase (vaulting windows, pallets, RUNNING... lol) this latency issue needs to be fixed ASAP because it is just ridiculous atm

I still enjoy killer. The game's a buggy mess, yes, but it always has been.

I would rather play killer with a 4man flashlight sweat squad than solo survivor.

btw if you play the same game for a long time youll get tired of it

so dont stay on one game

It’s fun outside of red ranks. Once you hit rank 4 a lot of matches are survivors playing to screw over everyone else (including other survivors)

I only enjoy the more toxic I play, otherwise you are just like a labourer for the entity

Yeah im still enjoying it, getting a bit burnt out again tho

I mostly play killer. But I don’t have fun until the end of the March or when I’m playing a meme build. I feel anxious, it feels like a massive drop on a roller-coaster without the adrenaline rush after. Just a horrible feeling in my stomach until the games over. So meh

I haven't been playing this game a lot in the last 5 months or so anyways.

True, solo survivor can be a pain too. Hit box problems and camping and tunneling come to mind. Sadly, tunneling in particular is often one of the better strategies for a killer.
And of course matchmaking is all over the place.

I'm currently messing around with the twins just had a game where at the end I jumped on a Survivor with Victor and it's switch me back to Charlotte and I knock them down and they crawled out of the exit gate which is supposed to not be able to happen. The new autohaven soon as I see it I just want to slit my wrists in my personal opinion I feel a brand new survivor can lead you on a chase for 2 minutes because there's a pallet every 3 meters. Whether they're safe or not does not matter not sure what they were thinking on that one. sound is ridiculous. Ormond I have not seen since it has been redone so I cannot give my opinion on that. But overall even with half of the things not working I do like the twins so far.

Lol well I'd disagree but understandable. Solo survivor has it's own serious frustrations.

No, i don´t enjoy killer anymore.
Even solo survivor on red/purple is more enjoyable than playing killer on those ranks.

I still enjoy killer, I am sure it's a bit annoying to play the game in general right now though. Haven't gotten any dbd yet.

Got caught up on talking about the twins but I also forgot about gens sure seems like they go very fast like I personally want to run other perks and I try to do that because I take into consideration the survivors having fun as well but if I do that The Gens fly off the board incredibly fast if I decide I want to chase a survivor. Sure feels like if you want to chase survivors you got to have massive slow down perks

I think the change where the exit is blocked for a few seconds after downing a survivor with Victor on was planned for a future hotfix, so it will still come.
I haven't had your problem with the new Autoheaven maps. Some people have even been saying those maps have more deadzones now, even though I kind of doubt it. Unless there is some bug going on.
I think the maps are quite fine. Bloodlodge is more balanced now, not sure if I would call it balanced, but certainly better than it used to be. I still dislike how almost all pallets on Autoheaven maps are safe pallets though. But at the least Wretched Shop and Wrecker's Yard in general seem balanced, as long as not too many pallets spawn. I still wish maps would have more pallets, but mindgameable pallets.

I still think that the gen times can be balanced, at least on the more balanced maps that is of course. High tier killers at least have tools to combat the fast time.
I think the bigger problem is that despite them being potentially balanced, games as killer can still be very stressful just because the game is balanced around how fast gens can go. And when you add the other frustration into this game, like the many bugs, things just get frustrating.

- 4 flashlights
- "sweat squad"
Something doesn't add up here chief. If there's 4 people each bringing a flashlight into your game they're definitely not sweating lmao. They won't be doing gens because they'll be going for flashlight saves all the time and throwing the match just to flashlight.

And that's the issue is not every killer has the tools to deal with it and I don't want to have to run the same certain perks every game. I'm not the type of killer who feels I have to get 4 kills every game but I also don't want to have no kills every game. A lot of time I do it to myself I'll have two or three survivors on death hook and instead of just eliminating one I'll go for that person that didn't get hooked yet if that makes sense I don't know slippery slope try to be as Fair as possible and screw myself in the end I guess I don't think the Gen X in the balance of every killer leaves your room to be as Fair as possible

I used to hate playing killer but since I got Plague I was excited to go BLEHHHHH on people, and she's a lot of fun, but I actually started playing killer a lot these past two days as Charlotte and lil gremlin boy. I haven't had this much fun as killer in awhile, and while Blight was fun to nyoom around the map with, Charlotte's chase music is too good to pass up. I've said this before, but I want that to play whenever I enter a room even if I'm just grocery shopping, it's so spicy I love it. I still play as my pink meg as survivor, but a lot of the killers have been using odd tactics that make the game way less fun as survivor, yesterday I had a Huntress stand on a hill and take shots at us and slugged hard. Not fun lol.

Sorry voice text screwed up the end. Don't think Gen times leaves you room to be as Fair as possible.

Yeah, for the time being, anyhow.
I came back after having been ranked down to 20 for a long time/long vacation, and started playing killer again. I'm pretty rusty, still, but I'm in no hurry to get good. I like derping, and trying to learn how to deal with survivors seemingly liking to run through me when I hit them.
As usual I play with a mentality similar to Tru3 (but nowhere near his skill level) in 4k doesn't matter, it's chases and hooks. I want those bloodpoints more than anything else.
I like to run distressing, beast of prey, and thrill of the hunt as often as I can. Don't have BBQ yet, but it's teachable thanks in large part to the Halloween event.
Low ranks seem to have enough newbies (I'm closer to their skill level), and the bodyguards in SWF seem nicer.
Maybe they're appreciative i don't camp, and try to play nice?
If I'm accidentally doing too well, I'll try and give the hatch to one of them at least.
If they get gens done, I'll screw around a bit, then open the gate for them (I like that. More points. Hate that I can't open both gates though!) so I don't have to deal with one of my older gripes, the survivors over staying their welcome.
I hope they learned something, and got some blood points, and experience to help them along so they can grow into competition for the higher ranks, and feel like they got stuff done.
Feels weirdly good, man.

I have a lot of fun playing killer.
I think im over my stressful phase. Now im more relaxed, i try to win, but when i dont im not affected.
I started playing survivor after i got Rank 1 as killer. Solo survivor was never really stressful for me after i reached the first time rank 1. (Wanting a pip and getting farmed and tunneled game after game) Solo survivor is hard and can be annoying, but it was never stressful for me when i lost.

Killer is still in a pretty good state besides the general bugs with specific ones like Billy randomly overheating. I don't play killer often but if I have no friends on, I do hop onto killer which is pretty much every other day. I only play Ghostface and haven't ran into anything too ridiculous. Killer is much, MUCH better than solo survivor is at the moment.

it depends, if u are on staem you can easily avoid the 4 man with thousands of hours, if u do it you can have fun without stressing yourself most time.
