Instead of punishing disconnects, incentivize high ranks
I see some posts suggesting timing out/banning/punishing people who disconnect from games. While I agree there should be repercussions, sometimes DCs happen because something comes up, or internet goes out, sometimes multiple times, and a plethora of other possibilities, so these people might be DCing unwillingly and getting punished.
Instead of punishing disconnects, we should have incentive to be high rank. In many games, when a season ends, players of high rank are rewarded by getting some reward. Why not incorporate that into DBD? As of right now, people have no reason to be in red ranks, if they play a killer they don't like they just DC or de-rank to purple/green ranks to avoid Billys/Nurses. So why not give players BP rewards or shards for being high rank at the end of the season?
IE:
Rank 1 - 200k BP / some shards
Rank 2-4 - 100kBP / less shards
Purple ranks - 80kbp
Green ranks - 50kBP
etc..
I know this wont solve all disconnects or issue, but really, nothing will solve EVERY ISSUE, but we can make incentives to at least minimize it.

I think higher ranks should get bonus bloodpoints per match, green=5,000, purple=10,000, 2-4=15,000, and rank 1=20,000
