Mileage For Deliverance Perk?
Hey Fog Friends! Just wondering if I should get Deliverance out of the Shrine today. I'm a mostly solo q player, with Kindred, Spine Chill, and Sprint Burst in most of my builds.
Just wondering how often it really saves your caboose or if I should pass. Thanks in advance for any thoughts and opinions π

It's very good for making sure you get at least 2 hooks per game. If you go down first it's a waste but mid to late game, when you are liable to die on your first hook; having it available is incredible for giving yourself a second chance. Dying on my first hook or going half on my first hook is probably the most annoying thing in DBD to me so I run it often.
Before crossplay I would do an endgame hook trading build sometimes. BT/DS/Deliverance/Tenacity. You could aggressively trade for someone on the hook; then save yourself and either DS the killer or crawl out of the exit gate with tenacity.

Thanks, that sounds like a formidable build! I tend to use Sprint Burst for safe unhooks so I think it would pay off frequently. And if the Killer is running NoEd, that would make for a spicy finish π

kindred, ds, dh and ub are by far the best perks for solos. I used spine chill, but 4 or 5 games
withoutit and you donβt use it again0 -
I find Deliverance is only really worthwhile if you also run Decisive Strike. Usually when you need to unhook yourself it's because you're getting camped or people can't get to you before you go into struggle.
I'm not a huge fan of it just because of the condition that you have to safely unhook someone else first. Seems like overkill on a perk that can only be used on your 1st hook.
In short, it's good with DS & BT but it can also feel really inconsistent when it's not available and you actually need it.

If you don't ever plan on purchasing the survivor/killer with their perk on the shrine (in this case Adam) - I recommend getting the perk. Even if it is a trash one they do rework perks some times.
For solo q Deliverance is somewhat useful - if you can manage to make that safe save before you get hooked. Particularly strong being solo cause sometimes - they just leave you too long on the hook and it's also nice for getting yourself off the hook if you are far away or in the basement. You don't impact the momentum of the others survivors.
That said you don't have to yank yourself off a hook immediately - be chill about it and wait for the right time. The right time is not in the face of a fellow survivor just as they are bout to save you unless they are a dumb survivor and brought the killer in tow. Then hell yeah jump off that hook and get some distance from the fool.
