How to Buff Trappers Traps

Trap Visibility

In some maps Trapper Traps Suck,So my inspiration for this idea was from the Friday the 13th Game,in the game Jason can put Bear Traps but his Bear Traps are covered by Leaves so it makes it harder to see.They should add the option to cover traps.The covering of the traps it would be different depending on what map you are on.

How the Feature Would Work after placing a Trap you gain the option to cover it(Which takes a second)

A covered trap first has to be revealed then it is allowed to be disarmed.

Example Of Coverings

Lerys/The Game/Hawkins)Covered By Debris

Ormond)Covered By Snow

Midwhich)Covered By Wooden Planks

Evrything Else) Grass


Trap RNG

In the First 2 Attempt Of Escape will be a Failiure,Between 3-5 Attemps are RNG,On the 6th would be a a guaranteed escape.


Trap Mechanic

Survivors can crouch over Trap

Trapper doesn't get trapped by his own traps unless he carrying someone.

When Trapper walks over his traps his movement speed gets decreased to 110% movement speed for 3 Seconds

While Trapper is chasing a survivor he can Re-Arm traps faster

Traps have a Larger Hitbox

Base Kit Trapper can hold 2 Traps at a Time

    Trap RNG is an absolute joke and needs an update. I played 3 trappers the other day and got caught in 6 traps, escaped first try 4/6 times, other 2 were on second try. It needs to be 2 attempts you don’t escape and then randomly guarantee on 3 or 4. Hiding traps is tricky because there should be a way to play around them, it still has to be visible but the idea of better hiding of it would be good. It just shouldn’t be totally invisible. Also purple bag add on should be base kit. Makes 0 sense why it’s not

    Id also just add someway to stop the "trappers basement" crap.

    and for killers as long as ^that is gone id be fine with giving up deadhard going through them

    Ive had this idea for a long time to nerf trappers basement.Its in trap mechanic

    At the least increase the hit box back to the original one so it can actually block off avenues of movement, which is kind of what he is about. But apparently that is no fun for survivors so it got nerfed.
