If I’m looking to join someone on my friend list, I click join & it says they’re in a lobby and it says requesting to join for like forever, does that mean they’re getting ready to go into a randomized match so they can’t let me join or are they just ignoring me?

Most likely ignoring you. Sorry, but getting into a match when someone is requesting to join is pretty rare.
