Why not use Otzdarva's suggestion about moris?

I get it, everyone hates moris and they deserve a nerf, but listen, they almost like waste of BP right now. Why nerfing them to the ground?

Otz is one of the greatest guys in our community with over 5k hours in the game. He is also part of the Fog whisperers program. Why not listen to him? His suggestion is:

Yellow mori - Stays same.

Green mori - You can kill one survivor after you hooked everyone once.

Red mori - You can kill all survivors after you hooked everyone once.

Exactly! They said making it work only on second hook is easier to do. so I guess that's why.

It wasn't used because it still lets people kill people on first hook, which is still cutting out two thirds of the game, it just takes slightly longer to do so.

They also said that this mori change was done since it was basically just a number change, therefor quick and easy to implement.

"quick and easy to implement" - took them what? 3 years to do so? lol

Quick and easy change... More like rushed change, without asking community's opinion about it. I mean, they didn't even announced this important matter beforehand

Honestly, I think they should make it so if someone DCs, you get your BBQ stack anyway. They shouldn't be able to deny a killer that. Make it so that instead of checking when a survivor is hooked, the counter checks who has been hooked. If they do that, then all you would need is to reference the exact same counter as BBQ.

You've seen how killers play with moris right now. Its exclusively to get an easy game with an early tunnel kill. With this version the 4th survivor would ALWAYS be the first to die even if they'd played well and not been hooked whilst everyone else had twice.

    This version is better imo

If they did announce it beforehand many people would start using all of their mories before they get nerfed, like what happened when insta-heals got nerfed last year. They learned from their mistakes when it comes to that kind of thing.

Guess what, now everyone gonna use keys, since they, obviously, will be next on the line.

Clearly the idea wasn't quick to think of for bhvr, I guess.

If a survivor thinks you have a mori and it's a swf they might have one survivor play stealthy, some solo's try to avoid the killer all together.

Having it on 2nd stand makes this only dependant on how well you are playing and gets rid of the risk of a survivor taking away your mori by never taking any chances.

of course there will be an influx of key users, but I doubt that it's because keys would be next in line, but rather as a way to celebrate mories being nerfed. It wouldn't make sense for people to use all their keys now anyway since nothing has been announced.

We can always dodge keys in the mean time.

Except now tunneling is way more important. With the other idea, I can loop a killer for a long time still, and negate his Mori. Sure, he might get me eventually, but he had to get three others, and that would force him to tunnel certain people to get the down on them. If we see a mori, someone can just play super stealthy.

Now, to use a Mori, you just tunnel one person to having a miserable game.

Not such a good advice. Like @AChaoticKiller and @Parallax said, it can still cause some issues like survivor playing stealthy to deny the Mori, while the killer could just equip BBQ and start hard tunneling as soon as they got 4 stacks.

My personal suggestion would be for Ebony Mori to make it Token based and remove struggle phase entirely and hook sacrifices except in situations where the game has to end (Last survivor). Each time the killer hooks a survivor or a survivor passes a complete hook phase the Mori gains a Token. After X Tokens the killer can mori their first, after Y the second and after Z the remaining two.

That one would give the offering an interesting change, without making it too frustrating. You can even share the information the token has to all survivors as well to keep it as fair as possible. Maybe it would need a little bit of an additional Anti-Tunneling condition, but it would stay quite fair.

Honestly Ivory could go from Green to Purple and give it the ability mori all survivors after second phase. I think the new Ivory is too weak because of it's only one survivor condition. And honestly the current change can still be strong, but makes more sense for a purple offering.

About the unused Yellow offering. Make it kinda base kit, by allow killers in general to mori the last survivor, after they killed the other three. Just as a little reward. And it would quicken match ends even. I personally think two Mori-Offerings are enough and the yellow one could either be deactivated or replaced with another secret offering like e.g. one that spawns an additional Totem. But that would another story.
