Rage quitting and disconnects

Hey guys, so playing on console (Xbox specifically) and keep coming across survivors in the higher ranks that just disconnect from the game the first time they are downed. 

I play as both survivor and killer, it creates a huge issue for the match. On the killers side, its less opportunities to obtain BP and on survivors side, you are down usually 1 or 2 teammates which makes it extremely difficult to stealthily finish the generators unless the other person is a running distraction for the killer. 

So I guess my questions are:
-Why are people doing this?
-Is it just on Xbox specifically or is it across other platforms?

    It could be a number of things but typically they are spoiled brats who either don't like the fact that they got down so fast and fear getting camped or tunneled or they flat out hate the killer that is being played! Like take this for example you are on console and it's the Hag and I've seen this where people will leave if it's the Hag or Doctor because they find them annoying.

    Also some leave if the killer is too laggy which ironically is typically those two killers...

    I've definitely played with plenty of people on both ends who DC when they see a Doctor especially. Personally, I really dislike facing Freddy just because I know it is going to be a LONG A** game. Always play the match though because.... Well, thats the game. The killers are supposed to be difficult and/or annoying.

    Anyways, I'm getting off point. Have played multiple matches as Trapper or Hillbilly and played against plenty of easier styled/easier to counteract killers, but players still DC after getting downed once. Even with fine connections (believe it or not, does happen on consoles sometimes lol).

    I report them for clearly rage DCing, but it does nothing. I'll either see them in one or two games later and will do the same thing.
