Boosting ranks (mori discussion)
I love the new mori change.
I realized quickly that cheap easy kills were boosting me into the stratosphere, at green ranks I would always face red rank swat teams.
I stopped using moris because of this, and guess what? Now I play fair games with survivors within my skill level.
I stopped using perks until I suffer the learning curve of new killers in order to consistently face survivors within my REAL skill level.
Everybody is talking about keys. If you're really afraid of keys, it's because you can't gen pressure. It's a SKILL you need to learn.
I can now bring moris because of their REAL value. Looking cool getting kills that I EARNED!
Keys don't scare me because I'm not going for cheap easy kills, I pressure that map and get my kills legit. If I get outplayed (even by keys) I try to figure out what I did wrong.
Stop blaming the devs for your lack of skill. It's called a LEARNING curve for a reason, but if you're not learning anything you'll never improve.
No more cheap easy kills.

Also, less loading screen disconnecting cowards.
Y'all would dc just because of a secret offering that could've been a yellow mori, or separation.
Now you don't have an EXCUSE to dc during loading screen.

Yeah, except the problem is, mori's never boosted your rank. If anything, you depipped for using them. The same with Tombstone's. Every time I rock a tombstone at red ranks I almost always depip. And it's hilarious to me because I never cared about my rank in the first place.
The guy called "keygun" likes keys in the game? Shocker.
"I play fair games with survivors at my skill level" is a paid actor statement. Everyone knows this game puts literal rank 20 killers into red ranks because nobody wants to play killer.
Playing killer feels like a job half the time. How many times do you have to kill the same person before they finally run out of second chance perks?

Your rank means nothing, the ranks you face mean everything.
It doesn't technically give you more pips, but cheap easy kills would make dbd algorithm misjudge your personal skill.
Also, keys are used wrong as survivors. The wedding ring is nice, but keys are meant to replace bond.
I'm not AFRAID of keys, because I know how to pressure gens.

The only reason my user name is keygun, is because my real name is Keegan.

The first and second sentences are not entirely correct. If you got one person out of the trial early and then played the 3v1 normally, which was essentially an ez clap at that point, then you could pip comfortably. You could even pip easier due to better gatekeeper. That's why the Ivory was the og OP mori and the Ebony was simply the overkill version that you didn't even need to use fully in order to smash the survivors.

I never ran it because saw it as a scummy thing to do and I am sure that a lot of people did the same. Now I can avoid a DS or unbreakable or deliverance. It is just a matter of how long it takes and whether or not you can spare the time. But now survivors need to worry about it and be afraid about saving their DS.

Nice try but this game doesn't have mmr or an algorithm that gauges skills, kills, escapes, or hours played when match making implemented at this time. Literally rank means nothing until more people are willing to play killer. The way it works now is you ready up as a rank 1 solo Survivor, the game looks for other rank 1 Survivors to match you with but it can't find any so it broadens the search for rank 5-1 Survivors. Now it's found a team but needs to find a killer except there's no killers available at rank 5-1 so it broadens that search and finds a killer at rank 13. The current mm system looks for players of a similar rank and the longer it looks the wider a net it casts out.

Ngl, I've had my game literally crash aplenty in the loading screen when ebony moris have been used. It's an interesting bug.

I didn't know you were a developer for BHVR. Lol.
Yeah, you're totally wrong.
"Nice try"

I think their true purpose is now in effect.
It looks cool, and is even better because the kills are skill based and not cheap and easy.

I'll have to take your word for it. Literally NEVER has that ever happened to me.

There is no MMR algorithm implemented right now. They enabled it and disabled it within a few days because it was ruining the game for everyone, new and old players alike.

Maybe you're right, but from my experience it seems like there is a tracking device to determine your current skill. I play for skill, and I no longer feel like the odds are against me because of all those cheap easy kills I was getting.
Still barely in green ranks, but I play against ONLY red and some purple players because (not to brag) I'm relying on skill. I don't mind this, because other green ranks or lower are too easy.
I also try to only play skill heavy killers, currently the twins.
Idk, but twins feel like they require actual skill to get kills. Standard m1 killer with a Victor that can be easily dodged by circling trees.

When I was green rank, long before MMR was tested, the same thing happened. It seems to be a normal occurrence at that.
This likely forced you to adapt so that you find those games pretty easy; I'm the same with purple and below since I'm so used to playing in top ranks.

"If you're really afraid of keys, it's because you can't gen pressure." well some of literally the best killer players in the world are wary of keys especially in the hands of a coordinated SWF; so you can throw that claim right out the window.
You might have had some more agreement with your other points, but implying people not liking keys which give you a clear and distinct advantage (albeit not as strong as mori's) are just bad or not playing correctly is a boldly inaccurate claim; and it derails the point you were trying to make and demerits it.

I de ranked quite a bit while learning the twins. Alot of frustration. But that frustration pays off. It also felt like the game was tracking my multiple losses, I was seeing green and even brown ranks, but now still in green and cleaning house against mostly red with sprinkled purple.
If the devs truly just made it time based, that's boring.
I welcome mmr and sincerely FEEL like it's still in play.

Examples of "the best killers wary of keys"?
I don't agree mostly.
Keys will only scare me if used correctly to replace bond. It's a 5th perk.
If you're trying for hatch, you'll have to do these gens, and I know how to pressure them.

Too bad tombstone is still a thing
