Cheryl's Cosmetics

Is there a good reason why Cheryl's cosmetics that portray her are linked as a set? Why can't we mix and match her hair styles outside of the legendary Lisa and Cybil skins? Especially with her Christmas sweater coming out I'd like some agency over how she looks.

I guess it might be licensing issues on konamis part.

That's most likely the reason, but I still don't get the logic in it. If we still have to buy the full set, I should be able to mix and match whatever I want if it's related to Cheryl.

I can guarantee it's probably Konami's issue/decision.
They aren't known for being the most lovely of companies, after all. I can't imagine how difficult it was for them to get a Silent Hill license in the first place. If it was difficult for Nintendo, you bet it'd be difficult for BHVR.

Definitely agree with you there. Didn't think I'd be seeing Silent Hill for a while after the reboot got canceled which is a shame. I just don't get why they'd be so picky about what clothes she wears if its all her anyway. Seems a bit excessive to me.

Well, apparently a new game is in the works. From the leaks I've seen, a PS5 remake/reboot of the original game. No PT (Or Silent Hills) though, which is a shame.
As to why, well, Konami is very, very protective of their IP's. The only company that might take it further is either Nintendo or Sony. I wouldn't be surprised if Pyramid Head and Cheryl's cosmetics were completely decided on Konami's part, as a stipulation of even getting them in the game

Agreed, i really dislike sets in general and it sucks that the only licensed survivor i main has basically no customization options, guess I'll just keep wearing P3 forever.
If the sets are strictly because of Konami licensing issues (which is likely) i am definitely surprised that the upcoming sweater is going to be free, not sure what kind of strings BHVR had to pull to make that happen.
