Last minute rage quits... What's the point?
OK, so this isn't why people rage quit at all, it's about why do people rage quit whilst hooked / mid hook / mid mori. Do they not realise you still get the points for them dying + a quitter bonus?
Just had a game with 4 x 104% gateau and 1 party streamer. One of the clowns DCed whilst I was hooking him. So I got both the hook and sacrifice points but also quitter bonus points and he got ... Well ... No points and a timeout!
Why do they do it? Are they simply not aware it gives us more points? Is there something I'm not aware of?

Because they’re hot headed and not thinking straight. It’s probably not till after they’ve DC’d that they realise how many points they lost, and that probably makes them fume even more.

It's the principle.

It's not about the BP, its about sending a message.
BP are a dime a dozen who cares.
5 -
What message, "That I'm a spoiled child and will cut off my own nose to spite my face?" :) Rage quitting only sends one message (regardless of what the person thinks they saying). They are saying, "I'm an idiot."
12 -
Again, BP are worthless, no one cares, if someone DCs thats up to them. Let them. You get your precious BloodPoints and they get a 5 min smoke break to avoid the likely highly toxic tunneling face camping killer they just DCed from.
Win win if you ask me.

They are not in control of their emotions.
2 -
I could care less. It is their fellow Survivors, that they are screwing over, that are the ones suffering. I stand by my assessment though; the only message it sends is that the person is an idiot.
2 -
There isn't a point my dude, it's purely out of frustration or anger, or sometimes to try and "stick it to the killer" when they do something the survivor doesn't like. I think we've all been guilty of doing irrational things when were heated but it doesn't excuse the rudeness or futility of the action. Hopefully you have better games in the future though.

Then you're the ragequitter's teammate who's sitting there annoyed that some knob rage DCed because he got downed 30 seconds in to the match, or decided to suicide on hook before anything could really happen, thus dooming the rest of his team.
Not much of a win-win there...

I have never done it, but I always thought it was to prevent BBQ auras that would trigger on their last hook.

Thats a lot of assumptions you got there about the killer. You okay?

Vile is your walking talking answer OP

It's just frustration. Not much more complicated than that.

Interesting thought, and if so, it would be cheating rather than simply being an idiot. That would be no different than disconnecting to instantly pop the hatch for your buddy who has told you on Comms he/she is sitting on it.

It makes them feel a better after a frustrating game that they have at least a little control over when they go out.

Well, I actually do think any type of forced DC is a form of cheating, whether done to help your team or screw them over right in the beginning. I always play till the end, even if its only being on hook for 2 minutes against Insidious basement killer, as every little bit helps my team.

Only time i quit, dc, or kill myself on hook is if i see the other 3 not working on an objective or not hiding in a locker to avoid bbq. If you're running around, crouching and doing nothing when the killer is nowhere near you, im out. Not wasting my time getting frustrated.

Dbd is a emotional game. It is NOT a fun game. It is frustrating, stressful, and addictive.
Ppl play w emotions. But comes to the forums to justify it w logic.

People’s horrible internet connection that made me run into walls in a chase the hole game :)

They do it to depip you.

I like when they do it, because it amuses me. Like, why take the BPs when you can also ragequit like a little baby?
And this ranges from Killers who DC when the fifths Gen got finished (despite having burned a Pudding, 4 BBQ-Stacks and probably AT LEAST 20k BPs without any multipliers) or that one Nea I downed right before she could open the Hatch I closed before with her Key.
