How about we just remove the leave game button?
I mean, if we're going to get a penalty for leaving, why not just remove the button. The game wont even let you alt f4 so why not just remove the button. For what reason would anyone, especially the killer, ever need it?

Then PC players would just easily quit via task manager and console players would restart their consoles/close the game. Sometimes a IRL emergency can come up and you need that leave button, why would they unnecessarily have to make it harder for their playerbase by force quitting the game?
That's why it also fits that the first time you quit, the timeout is kept short at 5 minutes. For the possible case when you did not want to dc but had to because of something important that came up and by the time you return you can queue up again.

The game wont let you.
Force quiting the game is a penalty on its own because you have to restart. I'm not saying remove the penalty. But honestly I believe 99% of the time people dc because they get caught first or they get mad. Why would we keep the button for the minority of people that absolutly NEED to turn off their computer at that very second. If you have to go afk, then you walk away you don't need to take away others bp or ruin there offering or items.
