How bad did the graphics use to be?

I got this game free through PS Plus a couple of years ago and played two games before giving it up. I remember the graphics being on par with Roblox. Is my memory exaggerating or were they really not that good in the beginning? I know about the more recent upgrade but I’ve been playing regularly for well over a year now. Maybe my mind simply adjusted, but when I gave it a second try I didn’t find it as terrible as my initial take.

Not too good, looked low quality. But you get used to it.
Plus it used to be easier to see across the map, I kind of miss those days
