Counters to Blight?

I'm getting frustrated with this killer cause no matter what I do he's always up my ass and making him dodge feels impossible so what are counters to this killer that aren't stealth and gen rush?

    • Run around something small that doesn't have a lot of corners or angles, like a rock or a tree.
    • Run to an open area, if there is one, where you are away from walls or jungle gyms and there's nothing for him to bounce off of. Listen for him to make that noise he makes before he dashes, and, as soon as you hear the sound, do a 90-degree turn in a random direction.
    • Run to the opposite end of a car, so that he's on one of the short sides and you're on the other. Stand there until he tries to dash at you down one of the long sides of the car, and then run down the other long side.

    Exactly.

It’s exactly why they gave him blood favour

How you counter Blight depends on if you're playing console or PC. Blight controls and plays very differently on both platforms.

If you're playing console: Move your joystick to the left.

If you're playing PC: You can't.

Edit: It's more if the Blight is playing console or PC, for obvious reasons.

It works a lot more than it really should, I'm still trying not to get my ankles broken while playing blight.

I always break my neck when playing Blight. Doing those sharp "throwing my mouse from my table" flicks to get my hits.

    Short answer:

A rock, run around a big rock.

Make tight turns, avoid open areas, think about where he's going to bounce to catch you. Don't hold W or you die. A lot of this you'll learn by playing Blight yourself.

In a lot of situations a good blight will get a guaranteed hit on you, but that'll give you the speed boost and distance to make it to a good pallet or tile.

Spinning blights during a lethal rush should be an absolute last resort because it's not going to work against good ones almost ever, unless they heavily screw up. Against inexperienced Blights, you can wiggle your character left and right before committing to a direction, and seeing a lot of people's replies in this thread that works on them for some reason. But you should always assume a Blight is good, and you can usually tell they're good if they're confident in using their power to catch you (i.e using it often and not just when it's a guaranteed hit like in a straight line or open area)

I will say if you're having a difficult time against this killer is purely the killer's skill. And that is not a knock against you. He really is one of the toughest killers to master.

Sharp turns. Knowing what he can splat off in range. I will say that right now as survivor his osunds are glitched and you won't hear the splat sometimes even in close range.
