How to play agaist the Clown?
Hello, I just wanted to ask if there is someone who can tell me how best to play against the clown?
He is actually very fast and he still has he's fog, which then also slows you down. I just don't know what best to do against the clown.

Don't loop him. Hold W, when you get to a pallet (assuming he gasses it), predrop the pallet instantly, rinse, repeat. The Clown has no power outside shutting down loops, and you CAN loop for a little bit, but just hold W. It will take ages for him to catch up, even with bottles. And if he uses bottles outside a loop, he has to reload in the loop, or vise versa.

Play safer, you can't do much against getting hit in the open but at pallets you have to drop them early. If a clown uses his gas most of the time you have to use the pallet as soon as you get to it otherwise you get hit however if you didn't go through the gas and you can loop the other direction/object in the loop without going through the gas you should do that instead.
Certain loops like the standard jungle gym(1 pallet, 1 vault) are pretty good against him since you have multiple options unless he uses more than 1 bottle to cover all the paths to the pallet and if he does do that and you get him to use more bottles later/earlier you can gain distance on him if he reloads.

Not a true tip, but Calm Spirit works against his bottles. If thats ever a perk youd consider taking normally, then you can use it to assist in confusing the clown as to your location, especially around walls.
the bottles cannot curve or go through tall walls, so if there is a building you can run straight along it then turn the corner, avoiding getting gassed until he too passes the corner with you. Of course if he's close enough to you, he'll be able to use his power against you before you make it around, so make sure you have some distance first.

Avoid using the same window to counter Bamboozle.

I’m a Clown main and here’s what you should and shouldn’t do:
- Clown’s greatest weakness is survivor stealth. He only has power in a chase. Avoiding getting into chases in the first place by playing extra cautiously, without taking unnecessary risks hurts Clown a lot. He only has power in a chase.
- Don’t loop a Clown, and never go for risky pallet stuns: you’ll get hit every single time. Just try and get as far from him as possible. Understand that unless the Clown is bad, and wastes bottles, then you’ll go down eventually.

The Clown has no map pressure. Stick to gens and they will fly. Don't try to use the same loop for too long.

I wouldn't call stealth a specific counter because that applies to almost every killer.
Always being stealthy will hurt your team eventually. You HAVE to engage with him in a chase at some points in order to spread out that those hooks

It can counter many killers, it just hurts Clown a lot more than others because of how specialised his power is. He can’t create pressure without fast, frequent downs, and they can’t happen without chases. Denying Clown chases hurts him a great deal, especially if the player has poor tracking/hunting skills.

Hold M1 early and slap down the pallets early instead of looping them

Drop pallets early, and hold m1. Don't ever greed against a clown. And by greed, I mean looping when you think he won't throw bottles.

It's been stated a million times, but it's because it's important:
Drop pallets early. Play conservatively (ie don't be risky), and hope your team is doing gens while you get chased.
Clown definitely has a few tricks up his sleeve, but his power is basic and easy to mentally work around. He has a set amount of bottles before he needs to reload, and if he chases without bottles, he's just an M1 Killer with nothing else going for him.
PRO-TIP: You should always be looking behind you anyways, but with Clown, see where he is throwing his bottle. They will normally throw a bottle to either intercept your current path or block off a path they don't want you to use. If you catch this early enough, you can still try to find another path he may not be as comfortable chasing you through. If you see him aiming to block the entrance of a jungle gym, he may THINK you will run along the wall nearest to him because it's the closest available path. So you can redirect to the back of the gym early to keep your distance and still force him into that gym that he wanted to avoid. A good Clown can still make plays with a gym, but so can you.

use unique pathing and break away when you can. Don't just circle a loop, he will get you.

its good advice. you just gotta hope while your using up the pallets on the map that survivors will do gens. im struggling to find teams who will do them, lots are new to the game or just bad and urban evade around...... lol.

Don't hold W with no single thought. Try to bait some of his bottle then change to your actual destination, When you waste his bottles he turns into knife man,

Some Clowns equip Tattoo's Middle Finger for tracking purposes. Unless they're in an indoor map, they can spend the early game just lobbing bottles everywhere to get a general location on a survivor before reloading for chase. It also means they don't have to run I'm All Ears
