Tips on the twins

It pains me to admit it but I'm actually not as good as I thought I was, and require some help. I've been playing this game for a year (pc and console)now and have improved a lot but still am lacking pressure in some games.

Any tips could help me even generic killer tips. I don't mind. Especially what to do early game with them, since I have no info perks. And no clue on what to do.

And as you can see here I've just p3'd them and lack some perks. Any tips for the perks would be great. Still no barbecue yet.

I probably won't respond for a while, as I will be leveling them up.

I just use Victor as a scout by putting him in high traffic areas and letting killer instinct tell me when survivors are in that area. However I think I'm the only one that plays the twins like that. A lot of people seem to enjoy running around with Victor and downing multiple people before going back to Charlotte while I primarily play her.

If you get right up on a survivor with Victor you'll always hit your pounce with him.

I like Deathbound since it lets you know where survivors are. STBFL is so-so, but as soon as I say that someone will sing its praises.

I've always found pallet perks like that setup iffy because with them, instead of getting discouraged and dropping a chase, you'll continue to chew up pallets and chase that same survivor. If that survivor is taking you on a map tour early into the game that can really compromise your chances of winning. It may work for you though so don't take that as gospel. I'd consider any gen defense perk because well. You're red rank. you know why.

Try to get 2 early hits as soon as the game starts as charlotte do not use corrupt on the twins it actually makes early game worse, and the early game is the biggest part for the twins. Use discordance very useful on them. Once you get those early hits bring out victor and down the 2 injured people. Once those 2 are slugged try to find someone else and throw victor on them. Hook one person if you can. Most likely the 2nd one slugged will be picked up. By that time if the person hasn't thrown victor off try to track down the 2 injured people and bring out victor because by that time they most likely won't have time to recover healing. And try to down those 2 and throw victor on the last person if you see them at all. Early hits with charlotte is a big deal with twins, and can win you the game early. I have yet to lose a game doing the idea of what I told you to do. This is at red ranks even against swf's with object I have yet to lose.

I went against a Twins player last night and they would injure someone and then use Victor to down them. So that might work for you, too.

Thanks, but no. I've decided to main them and learn them even if it puts me through a world of suffering. I'll learn them one way or another.

Yeah I've seen other people do it too, your radar seems like an ok game style though. I might try it. And as for the victor running right up to them I got that part covered. Thanks for the help.

I normally hit one and then let victor out but recently found it a pain. I used do as you said hit two people and let victor out. I don't know why I stopped nor forgot about and will go back to this playstyle. I'll try discordance and slug a bit more. Thanks for the help.

I've tried that but recently, survivors started learning to get in pairs. So yeah they figured that out. But still thanks for the help.

Bad idea. It's not like Nurse or Blight where you secretly unlock their top-tier potential. You either slug and camp and sweat like your life depends on it, or you're the worst Killer in the game. No in-between. They're an unfinished, unfun, unhealthy mess.

Source: I am a Twins main.

Thanks I know it's a bad Idea, but still. I will decide to main them even if its unhealthy. I'll slug and camp of o need to but I won't do it constantly. Thanks for the help.

Alright, don't come crying to me when you realize how absolutely miserable Twins are.

Tofu uploaded a video about a week ago detailing the best way to play (so far) with The Twins. As someone already mentioned, he said that you use Charlotte to injure, and then use Victor to down. Victor has permanent 150% movement speed, and he has built-in bloodhound which is very useful on an injured survivor. And since Charlotte is a standard m1 killer, it's best to use perks that benefit that play style. Perks like brutal strength and endearing is not a bad choice, however I would say that sloppy butcher is a must.

Another tip that Tofu mentioned was that you can use Victor as a way to guard hexes like devour hope. You're stuck using Charlotte all game, but Victor helps to ensure that your hex is always protected. You just need to be sure to hide him well.

Early game you probably don't want to release Victor immediatly since the global audio cue will reveal who you are playing and put the survivors on guard.

If you find a couple of survivors, jumping on one with Victor and then going after the other with Charlotte is not a bad idea. If they kidnap Victor thats 2 survivors not working on gens, and they will be injured for later. You want to keep survivors injured as much as possible so they easily go down to Victor. You can also leave Victor as a detector in a place of interest while you patrol gens with Charlotte.

You need to carefully use both Charlotte and Victor. The brother is better at chasing, but he can't hook or damage generators and does not trigger most perks. You don' want to stray too far from the sister or survivors will just recover or finish generators before she can reach them.

The worst thing you can do with the twins is chasing survivors one by one. While survivors are uninjured, you are just and M1 killer. And if you send Victor at them and they don't crush him... you are still a basic M1 killer. Keep switching targets, keep them injured and keep them confused. Take full advantage of being able to be in two places at once.

No it's ok. I just had two good games with them. And If i was to complain and ask advice from someone. It wouldn't be you. Thanks for the help.

I'll go and watch it soon. The devour style seems fun, except for the m1 all game part. But still might try it lol.

    Two whole games, wow!

I had two whole games of Survivor yesterday that were enjoyable. Still hate playing Survivor because as a whole it's boring, unintuitive, toxic, and all around unfun.

Lmao. Why are you so hateful? A self proclaimed "Twin main" bashing on someone who is simply trying to enjoy a Killer they like.

Do you hate yourself? Maining a Killer you despise? And you hate survivor too! You sound fun.

And to OP: thanks for making this topic. I'll be taking in all the advice because I want to learn them too. Love the concept of the killer :)

I'm glad someone else can use my thread to enjoy and learn a killer they like. There concept is really what got me to play them. A bit of the lore too.

Yeah. I just saw another couple YouTubers agree that The Twins's goal is to injure two survivors (sloppy butcher comes in) and then turn Charlotte into your warden by having her face the generator the survivors were working on as she goes dormant (Hex ruin is good and undying, optional, come here) while you hunt the injured as Victor. The toy sword and purple speed add-ons were the best in one guys opinion. Reading this post also help me narrow down my strategy and perfect it. I didn't know there was a map wide sound effect until now. Does it occur every time? Also, does Victor have a terror radius?

I believe these killers have as much potential as any other, so I'd like to learn their, well... Everything to make another cool killer in my roster. Any ideas for my final perk and one optional if I feel like ditching Undying?

(Edit) So I did some research. The perks build I'd go with personally is Mindbreaker/BBQ/Stridor, Ruin, Sloppy, and Undying unless I replace it with the previous perks

    Respect.

(Ignore the other guy, looking at his behaviour it doesn't take much imagination to figure out what he probably did to get banned)

Contrary to how most people use them, I use victor to guard a slug if I wish to apply pressure over achieve a hook. Especially since you can quickly switch back and attack someone coming to rescue.

  • More on topic, I don't really play the twins at all so I don't know if i am qualified to give any real advice.

However I played them somewhat, and there are things I haven't tried because I just lack the perks.

If bloodhound works with victor; I would try that and sloppy I feel like he could slug like a champ if survivors are all injured.

Some people have also messed around with Furtive Chase and Dead Man Switch; with victor speed addons this can be pretty amazing in all honesty, however it has one major drawback- once survivors are aware of this tactic it's dummy easy to outplay. Uncoordinated solos might work, but SWF likely not, especially ones that have seen this before because they KNOW who you are going to be targeting and will exploit that to their gain.

Do this, from my knowledge pretty much every killer can be good if you completely master them, like pretty much exclusively play them and learn every in and out.
