Anyone find it weird how this perk is two in one? Like not only does it passively resets its cooldown and cause a distraction for fun builds it also gives you a built in Dance with me at the same time. Like what? Now I'm not saying the perk is OP and needs to be nerfed so bring out your pitchforks but it's kind of like adding a new perk that has both unbreakable and tenacity you feel me? Just very weird.

Then we have diversion who is completely crap in comparison with its strict requirement.

    I mean who would fall for deception if there are scratchmarks leading away from the locker.

    Also it already was nerfed, now you can't enter the locker after activating it for 3 seconds.

    Nah that's not the point. Just saying how weird it is to have two perk benefits in one.

    Also that's why you run fixated or urban evasion for the fun build. Of course my shock to find out this already has a built in dance with me so that was a waste of perk slot.

    This is kinda the new trend with some perks. The Blight chapter gave us undying which also does more than one thing.

    I'd hesitate to use deception without the free dance with me. I think the killer would be less inclined to check the locker if they saw scratch marks running away from it.

    Honestly the perk is still doable without the free dance with me, Scratch marks stay for quite sometime and can be weirdly placed to a killer. That's why sometimes weird pathing from the survivor can confuse the killer to gain distance. It's also how I use quick and quiet and head on, heck might even mix it up with the head on combo first then do deception on the second loop. Could be funny.

    I totally forgot about the perk after it came out and got battered by a 4-man squad, two with deception and two with head on. I was very perplexed 😭

    Despite that ordeal, I think the perk's fine. Pebble is kinda crap in comparison but I'd rather see pebble improved than deception nerfed
