When is the Key Getting Nerfed?

Just played a game where the survivors ran 2 shiny coins and 1 tarnished coin. Of course they found a key and 3 of them escaped (the last was already sacrificed.) There was 1 gen left and they had 3 gen'd themselves hard.

Didn't matter that I had iridescent as gatekeeper.

The key should not let 3 survivors escape.

    Im curious what way there going to nerf keys. Yeah it sucks when that happens but who knows if the nerf will truly fix that. I would hope by next chapter its released but could take a long time based on there commitment.

    One key, one person. The hatch then closes or becomes non-functional.

    Or a killer offering:

    Green Trapped Hatch - there are 2 locks on this hatch, requires 2 keys to unlock

    Purple Trapped Hatch - 2 locks, if more than 1 survivor is left, player is zapped and placed in dying state and can't escape through the hatch until healed

    Red Trapped Hatch - 2 locks, if any gens remain only the last survivor through lives. The entity claims the others.

    Of course, the hatches work normally when there is only 1 survivor left.

    It’s getting nerfed in the mid chapter patch I bett 100$ that it gets nerfed in the mid chapter update

    Should just get rid of the hatch entirely. MAYBE keep it for when 1 survivor is left...

    In my experience, I've NEVER had a game where Survivors merely opened the hatch and jumped in (or, in the case of the last survivor, just jump in) - they ALWAYS hang around the hatch and wait for me to show up so they can teabag and taunt before making the jump. And if I don't show up (because I know what they're doing when it's quiet for far too long), they start vaulting and slamming doors and crap like crazy to get my attention until I do show up, then jump in. It's a total gimmick, a shortcut/free escape that's nothing to be proud of. Get rid of it or give Killers a way to defend against a key/hatch strategy other than by just playing the game normally as they do any other.

    Funny thing. Totally tunneled an Adam for brining a key. Even put a trap on him after before 2nd hook.


    Was a broken key with no add-ons. WHY!?!
