Why bother making new killers?
The perks are almost always lackluster and tailored to specific niche builds, the exception being Undying- which I'm SHOCKED hasn't been nerfed.
Also, new killers are usually just bad in comparison to older killers before the developers started to tilt the scale more in favor of survivor power instead of killer power.
I play Blight, I play The Twins, and I can manage to get a 4K most of the time without any issues, but I'm also a PC player now on a game where a majority of the player base is from console. Most console players won't even bother with the newer- higher skill cap killers because they're just flat out worse to play on console than on PC. I can't tell you the last time I actually went up against the Twins aside from their release window, they simply aren't played in the red ranks nearly as much as the lower ranks.
TLDR:
It's obvious killers are just plainly worse than older killers, with the exception of Pyramid Head, and I'm pretty sure the only reason PH is even good is because the license holder didn't want a crappy/weak representation of their character like what happened with the Demogorgon.

$$$$$
That's why.

To keep the game fresh with new content.

I mean, giving people options is almost never a bad thing, and people will usually get bored after a long time playing the same characters so, introducing new ones serves to keep them playing longer (and also helps pay some bills for BHVR).

Am I the only one that likes new content? Perk combo'ing with new content is fun and gives players a new insight and playstyle. I hate having to run the same repetitive and META perks every time I play.

When was it nerfed? It's the same as it was in PTB.

Because it's fun? It's a game, remember?

A mayority of players are from console, are you sure?

It's a lucky day when you have more than 2 PC players in a lobby..

"Most console players won't even bother with the newer- higher skill cap killers because they're just flat out worse to play on console than on PC."
That's not entirely true at all. I hate the whole "killer is better controlled on PC" mentality, because words like that get spread around the console community way too hard, discouraging them from playing said killers.
I main most high skill cap killers on PS4 and I have relatively no issue in gameplay. The one thing that makes sense to agree with you is the individual players themselves that lack the confidence to play higher skill caps, not because of how they perform based on port.

I play on ps4 and really only play new killers. Shoot they come out so often, just when im getting tired of a new one they add another for me to get stuck playing. I think the only bad experiences I've had with the new killers on console are with Deathslinger, Blight, and PH.
Absolutely loving the Twins

In what world are recent killers bad. Since this year, there has been:
- Deathslinger (B)
- Pyramid Head (A)
- Blight (S)
- Twins (B)
Sounds like you're complaining just for the sake of complaining.

On killer you don't have that option a lot of the time because the survivor meta is really almost unbeatable to most killers. Most matches arent against true meta swf but with how strong it is they don't need to.
Like dead ass if you don't get a phd in this ######### killer is just a frustrating mess. I can get high off my ass and escape half asleep. You can't do that on killer unless they're baby survivors just crouching around the map

But how does this keep the game fresh when survivor is still Shift + W counterplay and killer is just gambling Mindgames and M1

Seriously. Do people still think Deathslinger and Blight are bad? I would possibly even push Deathslinger to A tier with PPHead

Mouse is more accurate that thumbsticks. It is better on pc when playing killer, especially ones where you need precision and accurate flicks against juking survivors.

Top skill Slinger is so ridiculously strong, and even average slingers can completely shut down normal teams. He's B due to how difficult he can be to use, especially for controller players, but yeah he's easily A for his absurd chase potential.
People who think Blight is bad either suck at him or only faced baby bleets.
Anyway, uhm, I do agree that the new perks can be dumb. I personally think perks like Hoarder, Trail of Torment, Oppression and even Retribution have their place. Note, every killer released has had one of those perks, not counting Blight's Undying which is probably one of the best perks ever released. The killers themselves are great, and the Silent Hill chapter has done a GREAT deal in attracting more new players.

l think you didn’t clarify yourself
l think you meant to say to keep people frustrated with new bugs.

every new killer since demo has been very good so that’s pretty false
also they are all playable on console. I play Deathslinger on console as a second main and do fine with him

Deathsligner is 110% movement speed and get cucked really hard by latency. Go ask anyone who main him for a while and they'll all tell you he's unreliable pass 50ms latency and it's not rare to get more than 50ms latency in this game. Deathsligler is not as strong as survivor main say.

Are you implying new bugs don't keep things fresh?!
