Is it toxic to let everyone go?
So I play the game normally. I chase and hook all the survivors twice while patrolling gens. So I had the problem of I would kill them all every time and it made me feel bad. This led me to make a two hook rule. I will only ever hook survivors twice. Once the last gen is done I slug then all and set them by the gate then open it. Do survivors appreciate this or is it rude?
To be super clear I make the game as fun as possible. I give them super intense chases and pressure gens and make it hard so it’s not a boring game. I play to entertain the survivors tho not to kill them so once we have all had a good time Together I just let them all go.

Well, at minimum I'd say during the game, they'd probably interpret this as toxic because they have no clue what you plan to do at the end, but then by the end they'd probably feel better about it, or at least neutral. I'd just kill them all off though, that's what you're supposed to be doing as Killer anyway! 😆

It can stress survivors out if they're constantly slugged because they end up just sitting around for a few minutes, though I used to do what you're doing now and I never got hate for it.
It gets to the point where it's hard to keep complete control over the survivors if they're good on generators and you may not get a chance to really play with them like that, so the Entity will need to be fed at some point.
It's up to you to decide when that point is though.

It's like the least toxic thing you can do frankly.
I did this a lot before I would play Myers and jump scare the ######### out of everyone, hang a few people on hook, then let them all escape. I try not to make it too obvious so everyone has a good time.

I've had a match like that (as a survivor) and it was awesome. The game was intense and I was on my way to death hook in the basement. The killer let me escape "by accident" right before the hook. Downed me later, let escape again.
It took a while to realize he wasn't going to kill anyone, let us open the gates and go. Everybody got tons of bp and it didn't feel like farming.
If you do it, I hope I'll end up in your lobby.

It's only okay if the survivors have a slug race out the gate starting at where the gate opens with the killer officiating the whole thing

I would usually prefer to just play normally, but I don't think it's toxic to have a slug race out. It's just weird.

Personally, I would SO appreciate this! It would be such a nice change to the usual "I guess I'll die then". Please, as long as you're ok with it, keep it up! I think it's incredibly kind!

Why should this be toxic? I think this is kind of you.

Fellas, is it toxic to be a nice Killer?

This is exactly how I use to play. But eventually I keep getting bullied and received series of hate messages.
So now I just kill everyone. Entity displeased message kinda bothered me as well.
Blame it on the toxic survivors I guess.

When you're a killer everything is toxic. One time I walked up to a generator and my terror radius noise made a survivor miss the skill check for his generator. I was pretty toxic.

Why would it be toxic? I remember when killers used to pretty regularly kill two people and let the last two go. I think there was a challenge that was just 'get two kills with this killer' and I assumed that's what people were doing. When I play killer I just do it for the challenges and I don't care about kills. Match making is so broken I'd have a miserable time if I only cared about kills anyway.

When I started to main killer, I played exactly like u. Hook twice, then slug if they down again. Until I faced an OoO swf squad that I feel helpless. I went rampage for a week. Then I just play the game normally. I still twice hook sometimes depend on mood, not every game as back then.
Still, if I do twice hook, I make sure its not obvious that Im a friendly killer, they will have to work for that. Because farming isnt fun. After all, we play for fun, not for point.

Dude, too far! How could you do this to another human being? You WALKED TO THE GEN TOO-I'm reporting you. Not standing for this toxic behaviour any longer
