This might be fun. I’m guessing most people here like horror movies, so what’s the best horror movie you have seen?

And then what’s the most disappointing horror film you have seen?

And then what’s the weirdest?


My favourite is the Ring (the Japanese original).

Halloween 2 (the original one) was pretty disappointing.

The weirdest might be Uzmaki, which is a Japanese horror film about spirals corrupting a small town. It wasn’t brilliant, but was worth watching.

    Tough to come up with an all-time favorite... Kinda go through phases personally. Halloween, Texas Chainsaw, tons of good classic slashers out there.. Definitely agree with The Ring as well, that movie was great! If I remember correctly, White Noise felt similar to The Ring if you're interested in checking that out.

    On the flip side, if you enjoy bad horror movies, the Wrong Turn series is one I've loved for years. First couple movies felt like they had potential, but after that it's just an absolute sh*tshow lol. Then there's Axe Giant, which may be the worst movie I've ever seen. Had me laughing like crazy the whole way through 😂

    The very best? Jaws. It is a horror film, I won't be told otherwise. It's also my favourite film. Closely followed by Halloween (1978, if I needed to confirm).

    Disappointments? Jason Goes To Hell springs to mind. I remember walking to school and seeing the poster in the video shop of the silver mask entangled with a gruesome worm...surrounded by fire. It looked awesome. Finally a new Friday 13th film!...I pestered my parents to rent the vhs...watched it...and was completely disappointed. Jason appeared in it for a couple of minutes at the start and the end. Bad memories.

    I saw the Micheal Keaton White Noise when it came out. Don’t remember enough about it now.

    I loved Wrong Turn in high school. I’m pretty sure it was a campy 2000s Chainsaw Massacre rip off.

    Never heard of Axe Giant, but I’ll take a look for it. I just watched Blood Vessel on Shudder which was just garbage.

    Sure, Jaw is a horror film.

    I vaguely remember Jason goes to hell now you’ve mentioned it. I’m currently rewatching the Friday movies (they’re not as good as I remember), so I have that one to look forward to.

    Did anyone ever see Halloween 3? It was a strange sequel with none of the original Halloween characters in. It’s about a haunted mask or something.

    One of my all time favorites is, The Changeling. It is a great ghost story, older tho.

    Ofcourse the classic slashers, freddy, mikey, jason.

    I love the old 🧟‍♂️ zombie movies as well, Dawn of the dead, Night of the living dead...etc.

    I watched a lot of B Horror movies as well. Some weird ones were, Luther the Geek, and Blood Suckling Freaks.

    I'll give most Horror movies a try !
