Maps (rare variety) should be buffed

It's rather ridiculous that a rare item only tracks generators at a short distance, without the help of add-ons. Anyone with more than 20 minutes of gameplay on a map (the world, not the item) can find generators without the help of an item. I'm not asking that it be able to track all of the things the Rainbow Map can, but could we at least get the ability to track the killer's belongings by default also? Heck, I'd even take exit gates. I just don't think all of the things that are add-ons for the green map should have to be add-ons for it to have utility.

I think it's fine, but I would like to see it at a yellow or brown rarity.

Only if they remove "killers belongings" including traps. It's absurd that trapper can still be countered by an extremely common item, not even perks are needed.

To be fair, if they changed that it would have to not show Hag traps or Jigsaw boxes either. I think you just have to accept that certain killers are countered harder by particular items (Wraiths, Nurses, and Hags with flashlights, healing faster with a medkit against Oni, etc.). Also, the map is a rare item; I wouldn't call it extremely common. I'd wager I have less than 10 on each of my survivors, whom I am all getting P3 with the perks (though admittedly I go for the cheapest bloodweb possible). Also, remember that right now an uncommon add-on is required for the green map to even track the killer's belongings.

Yeah the map is legitimately terrible. The rainbow map just being the green map with all of the tracking add-ons built in is also really lame. I can't even say it's OP because it really isn't, medkits and toolboxes are far more impactful overall, but it's just a lame design for an item. I really don't know how you would fix either of them. The regular map could probably just be dropped down to Uncommon rarity, but that just leaves an even more massive gap in the items. Honestly kind of think they should be reworked entirely but I don't know what you would do for that.
