My Killer Concepts (Soldier and Pirate)

Hey guys, I wrote about these two in other threads, but never noticed that there was a specific place for them here, so I'm putting them below. Let me know what you think!

Killer: The Soldier

TR: 32m Height: Tall

Movement Speed: 115%

Weapon: Bowie Knife

Power: Guerilla Tactics

Years of war have trained the Soldier in the ways of stealth and silent destruction. Press the 2nd Active Ability Button to crouch, hold to crawl. While crouching, movement speed is slightly decreased and the TR is halved (~110%). While crawling, movement speed is moderately deceased and the Soldier has no TR (~100%).

Special Attack: Throwing Knife

Press the Active Ability button to throw a knife at a Survivor (the Soldier has 6 knives). Hitting a Survivor with the knife injures them for one health state. The knife has an effective range of 18m due to its curve. The Soldier gains one Knife back every 10 seconds.

Special Ability: Camouflage

While crouching, The Soldier's uniform blends in with his surroundings (not invisibility but color changing uniform/face paint). While crawling, the Soldier also adds foliage and loses the sounds of his movement and breathing (you can still hear grass and environmental noises caused by his movement).

Perks:

1) Espionage:

You gather intelligence and knowledge about your enemies before beginning the hunt. At the start of the trial, see the auras of all Survivors for 4/6/8 seconds. See the auras of items on the ground, and when standing over them see the item's rarity and addons, as well as the aura of the Survivor who held it last for 5 seconds. When seeing a Survivor's aura this way, Espionage goes on a 30 second cooldown.

2) Demilitarized Zone

Set a perimeter to guard you territory. After kicking a generator, it and the closest two generators are highlighted in yellow. If a Survivor starts working on one of these generators or enters the area inside them, their aura is shown to the Killer. If the Killer kicks one of the generators or enters the area inside them, Demilitarized Zone goes onto a 120/100/80 second cooldown.

3) Conscription

Force an enemy to do your bidding. You become Obsessed with one Survivor. After hitting your Obsession once or hitting a non-Obsession twice, Conscription gains a token, up to five tokens. A token is consumed whenever:

When the Obsession hits a skill check while heals a Survivor, the skill check is ignored and the healing progression is reset to zero.

When the Obsession hits a skill check while repairing a Generator, the Generator explodes as if they missed a Skill Check.

The Captain (for lack of a better name), a zombie or ghost pirate.

TR: 32m Height: Tall

Movement Speed: 115%

Weapon: Cursed Cutlass

Map: A pirate ship, maybe docks on a beach where the ship is the main building and a Killer Shack on the beach.

Power: Neptune's Bane

As the former scourge of the seven seas, the Captain has been given powers of traversal and stealth that he had used raiding merchant ships and enemy pirates. Press the Active Ability Button to sink into the ground, losing his TR. While underground, the Captain can move faster than normal and under obstacles in the map, but cannot attack until he rises above ground (Active Ability button). While underground, Survivors can hear ghostly moans mapwide. When emerging from the ground, keep the Undetectable status effect for a few seconds. The Captain can only stay below ground for ~30s before needing to reemerge, and gains his power back at 1 charge per second (30 charges).

Special Ability: Buried Treasure

When the Captain has at least half of his charges of his power while above ground, press the Active Ability button when near an object to send it below ground, unable for Survivors to interact with it. This ability can only be used once every 90 seconds. The object will resurface at different times depending on what it was:

-Items- Permanent

-Chests- 90 seconds

-Totems- 60 seconds (30 for a Hex totem)

-Pallets- 45 seconds

-Generators- 20 seconds

Perks:

1) Marooned

You become obsessed with one Survivor.

When the Obsession performs any cooperative actions with/to another Survivor, their auras are revealed for 4/5/6 seconds. The Obsession performs all cooperative actions 25% slower.

2) Hex: No Quarter

While this Hex is active, when Survivors spend a minimum of 25/20/15 seconds working on a generator, the generator's aura is highlighted in yellow until Survivors stop repairing the generator. When a Survivor stops repairing a generator, Hex: No Quarter goes onto a 30 second cooldown.

3) Dead Man's Chest

Any Survivor that interacts with a chest will scream and reveal their location to the Killer. They will also be affected by the Exposed status effect as long as they are unlocking the chest, This effect persists for 6/8/10 seconds after unlocking/stoppping to unlock a chest.

    Great ideas!

    I like Killers that introduce some new mechanics into the game, like The Soldier being able to crawl, and The Captain being able to disable Generators by burying them - very cool!

    There's not much I can think of to change or add at the moment, but one thought I had for The Soldier was, depending on how effective the camouflage is, he should get something special added to his toolbox when crawling. One thing I've wanted to see with Ghost Face is the ability to see through foliage (to some reasonable degree) while crouching because being in first-person view, it can be pretty difficult to see otherwise, making it sorta useless (for most of the situations I've been in anyway). I've had people run right by me without noticing because of how hard it can be to see.

    So, with that said, The Soldier I think should be able to see through any foliage while crawling or crouching. In addition to this, lets make crawling extra rewarding - if you're able to crawl up to a Survivor, a basic attack from the prone position puts them in the Dying state. They deserve it if you can get that close crawling over to them without them noticing.
