How to play against Ghost face?

Hi everyone, I don't play much against Ghostface so I have no idea how to play against him. I have no idea how to make use of his ability where he's spying on you. I just don't know what to do about it except run. But even then you are quickly in one hit mode and then you are quickly on the ground.

Use the perk Spine Chill as it will give you a warning if he's looking at you within 30 metres or so.

  • If you look at him directly it disabled that effect for a while; so long as you do it before you reach the exposed point.

Spine Chill works on all killers with no terror radius which can help. But for Killers like Ghostface, Wraith, and tier one Myers, you just have to keep your eyes open.

Equip spine chill so he doesn't get the drop on you. When working on a gen constantly have your camera on a swivel. If he is using his power you won't hear his terror radius. GF can lean around corners and stalk you. If he looks at you long enough you can be one shot downed. If you are exposed your picture at the bottom of the screen will have a red cross hair over it. There's also an audio cue when someone is exposed. I suggest sprint burst encase he sneaks up on you. You can try to get enough distance to reach a pallet before he hits you.

Looking at GF when he is stealthed will slowly kick him out of it. Denying him his power. He has to be in the center of your screen to start revealing him and you can't lose track of him for even a second or you have to start over. When he is stealthed. If your looking at him or break him out of stealth, he will get a notification of your location. So if you are trying to hide from him try not to look at him. My suggestion is when you are being chased by GF treat him like Mikey. Constantly block line of sight to deny him his stalking. Either look backwards to reveal him or just keep blocking LoS and hope a teammate reveals him. If GF is up close staring right at you DO NOT TRY to break him out of stealth. Often he will expose you before you reveal him. I see too many survivors challenging him to a staring contest then they rage quit when they screwed up. The closer he is to you it feels like it is harder to reveal him. I can't really explain it but I find the farther away he is the easier it is to keep the center of the screen on him. When he is up close I tend to move my center off him when making adjustments.

Be warned. If he stared at you for a good while but did not expose you then he leaves you alone. You are in danger! Odds are he 99%ed you and is planning to one shot you during a chase. He can pop his power, stalk you for a split second to expose you and then hit you before you can break him out of it. Getting hit by GF resets the stalk he has built up. So if you were not exposed but he hit you then you have zero stalk built up. Often if I sneak up on 2 people working on the same gen I will stalk both of them. Usually getting both really high then when they split I will expose one. Later in the match when I run into the other I can pop my power and one shot them.

You just gotta be a really paranoid bastard against Ghostface.

NEVER assume he's not near you, unless he just downed/hooked someone across the map. While you're working on gens, keep your eyes peeled and watch every angle. If you're working on a gen with big LOS blockers, like the ones on Macmillans, watch the possible entrances. The second you see his mast poking out, book it and break line of sight-- force him to chase you and break him out of Night Shroud ASAP if you're uninjured, 'cause he can still expose you mid-chase.

If you're being chased and his terror radius suddenly disappears in a loop, immediately get away from the loop. You're probably about to turn a corner and walk right into him, which is no good.

Other than that, he's an M1 killer.

I've just started playing Ghost Face and have had a mix of good and bad games with him, but your tips here have given me some insight into how to play him a little better, so thank you!

For tips of playing "as" GF I suggest tossing in some perks like whispers, discordance, sloppy+Nurses Calling, save the best for last.

Whispers when at tier 3 will give you a 32 meter bubble. If someone is inside that bubble the perk lights up. When patrolling gens if the perk isn't lite up then there is no one nearby. If your moving to a gen and it lights up that means someone is there. Thing is your TR is also 32 meters. So if you run to a gen, see whispers light up, pop your power and you can try to sneak up on someone.

Discordance is just a nice way of catching 2 people working on a gen at the same time to get some double stalking.

Sloppy butcher makes them take longer to heal. Less time repairing. Nurses Calling lets you see them while they are healing. Very good for finding injured people when stealthed.

STBFL is always good on an M1 killer.

Obviously any gen slow down perks are helpful.

Thanks! I know your first post was tips for Survivor but, obviously, knowing how a Survivor might play against GF is incredibly helpful for playing "as" GF as well (and I didn't even consider being able to leave stalk at 99% - nice!). Your tips here are definitely helpful as well so, again, thank you! 😁👍️

As a GF main: just look around and if you see a GF stalking you - run somewhere where you can hide from the stalking. I'm shocked at the amount of survivors who either don't even bother looking around or they see me stalking and decide that they will finish the gen. Boom, they are exposed and dead.

If the GF is decent, has add-ons which shorten the time of night shroud recover, the map is really dark (a swamp or something) plus bad teammates - you are doomed, dude's gonna expose the [BAD WORD] outta yall.
