I think distortion would be a much better perk if it disabled auras completely for both sides
Ie you run disortion, you cannot see the killers aura, the killer cannot see your aura, and you can't see other survivors aura's but they can see your's.
Basically would disable aura reading completely for yourself - the iron will or calm spirit essentially of aura reading - only thing it wouldn't disable is teammates being able to see you - not vice versa, but would allow for some synergy with aftercare and without.

I honestly think Distortion is fine and if anything could use a buff.
I always see people pitch the idea of "make it so you can regain tokens by being in the killers terror radius" but I feel like that's a bit too much reworking.
Just slap 2 additional tokens onto it and make it default 5 and I think Distortion would be in a really good spot. It would be simple and give Distortion more value before it runs out. People who run Distortion know how to get the most value out of its limited uses as it can give you a surprising amount of info depending on when a token is consumed / tells you what aura read perks the killer has.

In addition to 2 additional tokens the timer needs to be extended to 13 seconds because right now, 2 tokens will be consumed when cleansing an undying totem.

I just feel like slapping 2 tokens on is a boring solution. There's not much interaction with the perk, it's just kinda there and you get the benefit from the beginning. Making a terror radius based replenish system would make it much more fun and interactive imo and will make it a risk/reward perk. Wanna be able to hide your aura? Well you gotta hide from the killer first.

Just let survivors earn tokens. 10 seconds (maybe more) in chase = one token, up to 3 at a time.
While we're at it, allow survivors to get Stakeout tokens and Diversion up while in chase, rather than forcing people to play in an inefficient manner, just to get use out of a perk that isn't even viable.

Actually this is a really important point thanks for bringing it up. Maybe if they just increased the duration of it at max level to not be almost completely used up by cleansing a singular totem that would help.
I understand it doesn't seem very exciting but I only pitch that idea because of how low-effort it is and how Behavior has said they don't really want to go back and change old perks too much / make any perks too good and cause power creep etc.
While I think the idea of having a system in place to generate the tokens is cool, having to do that BEFORE you can even use the perk to hide your aura feels bad lol I think it's all around better to just have usable tokens from the get go but that's just me.
