been getting 4Ks with clown and apparently for that i am tryhard
Been playing some clown games for fun with just a bootle and the brown duration add-on with a regular build, and in each game i've been a tryhard even tho I was simply playing, why am I a tryhard for playing the weakest killer in the game and just use my power effectively?

I never take that idiotic name as an insult. Why wouldn't you be giving your best? :) Just take it as a compliment and otherwise ignore the salty types trying to grief or shame you for THEIR failures.

I think The Clown is just far better than people give him credit for. He's certainly not a Top Tier Killer but he really doesn't belong in the basement like everyone seems to think he does. So I think survivors get surprised if you end up being good with him because they just expect you to not do well when you're The Clown...

It's because if they can't say the only reason you won is because you chose an OP killer, perks, add-ons or offerings, then the only option left is accusing you of...putting in too much effort

Okay sooooo... if someone is in a mood then anything either side does can agitate someone.. an example is when I played trapper and it was very standard gameplay (no tunnels, camping etc) I even attempted to let them wiggle free because I was going to let them all escape because it was a bit of a slaughter but they ran off so I continued on as a regular killer.. they stepped in traps at shack, loops and so on leading to a 4K..
I was told after the match that I quote “play like a p^ss^“. I don’t know how a p^ss^ actually plays as trapper or killer but apparently I accomplished it lol it was likely just stepping in trap embarrassment on top of a bad mood. That’s not the worst I’ve experienced though it’s somewhat of an amusing example I suppose.

exactly hahaha, i enjoy finishing games in 3-4 minutes because it show how much they don't belong in this rank and they are so mad about it, i love it

Well as long as you aren't hurting your own BP or Emblem advancement in the process. In general, the game does not reward fast, efficient matches. You have to get enough chases, downs, and hooks and in just 3-4 minutes that would be very impressive. I've found the game lets me max out BP and advancement when I stretch most games (in the Red Ranks at least) to about 10-15 minutes.

If i see survivors struggle i cool down a bit and wont finish them off like you do in 3 minutes. Thats my way i enjoy playing the game, giving everyone a good experience. Not sweating for the 4 kill and stomping them into the ground.
You are apparently different. You tryhard for your win. So i guess thats the reason you have been called a tryhard. Because you leave the impression of beeing a tryhard. Respectfully i have to ask why you are suprised by that?
Forgive me if you ment "i enjoy finishing off the game in 3 minutes" sarcastic, then i have not said anything. If you are serious with that... well.. i gave you most likely the correct answer to your question.

even if I end teh games quickly sometimes i still end up with brutal since no gens or only 1 has been completed and got every survivors hooked once and got some hits (more than 8) so if they are too quick i get brutal and since i am rank 1 I stay rank 1, never ever got displeased for finishing it too quickly

True but I assure you to get Merciless, and double pip, you might want to take it down a notch. I'm not saying you should go easy on them, but rather easy on yourself. As your Rank gets more potent, you will find it harder and harder to Pip, and even to NOT lose Pips. So it is best to practice now how to get every last min/max in BP and advancement out of a match. It can be win/win as you earn more, and they don't feel steamrolled. In the end, it is your game and you play it how it feels best to you. I'm just letting you know that fast and efficient starts to really bite you in the rear about Rank-12.

Yeah I've been playing with clown lately and I've noticed snowballing with him can be devastating and have been steamrolling even full red ranks with him.
BBQ, spies, iron grasp, mad grit and vhs and gloves for quick reload.
People always seem shocked when clown doesn't give them a lazy game and they find themselves down two players in three minutes. People don't seem to get hook diving clown is such a terrible move....

I respect Clown players, tho. Any one that plays a killer like him, Wraith, Trapper, etc. deserves credit. Ignore the haters.

the better the survivors are the more points I get because they work and loop more, if they all go down in 20 seconds i don't get many points but i won't make the game last longer since it will end up being the same even if i have mercy, i'd rather have it end quickly and have a new one hoping to get more competent survivors.

Survivors are another breed of weird. I had someone suicide on hook because they saw me cleansing a totem and took that to mean I wasn't going to work on gens.

Whenever I’m sick of of being stomped as pretty much any other killer, including Freddy who I’ve played for a very very long time, I always go back to playing as Clown and almost always get dozens of consecutive 4K or 3k before a game where it breaks even, or all escape.
I also get a LOT of survivor DC’s. Like a LOT. They seem to really really hate learning the hard way that Clown is not the joke they perceive him to be, and hate going from healthy to downed within 16 seconds (no, I’m not using RHPF). I’m usually doing this with brown or no add ons. Maybe double gas expansion add ons or extra blurred vision just for fun.
Clown (used properly) is one of the most extremely chase oppressive killers in the game because he so easily mitigates most of the survivors options during a chase.
I’m very curious what the rework will bring. I’m excited yet also concerned. Clown could be accidentally be made overpowered if they’re not careful. But it would certainly shock many players if he got some nerfs as well, even though I can see that probably happening. For example, he really doesn’t need RHPF. It’s simply too strong, and also not particularly interesting either.

He definitely isn't the weakest killer. Far from it. I get where they are coming from as I find Clown annoying to play against myself. However I don't think it's right to shame you for playing optimally

Listening to a survivor main tell you how to play Killer is like asking a Vegetarian what you should get from KFC. Just ignore them and play for yourself.

I had a team that used unbreakable, kobe'd off the hook 3 times among them all, we'll make it were gonna live forever; I had to down every survivor like 6 times each that match and one person actually bled out because I had to play whack a mole they had SO MANY second chances. They never did one gen because they kept trying SO hard to stay in the game and didn't want to give up.
Naturally I respect that; no problem, but I am insulted and called some very...reportable....things in post game for "try harding". If I was try harding what were they doing? 4 x Unbreakable and DS's.

I’m a red rank killer, recently started playing again. I got two 3ks and the rest were 4Ks with plague a few days ago. I had to turn my messages and friend requests off Lolol
