LMAO.... all this comments remind me how toxic this game is... whenever I'm being camped I tell my team to do gens or I use kindred for randoms... however even if they see the killer and each other all 3 randoms usually crouch near hook and either go for unhook with no BT twice or they just crouch there till I die... but if they're doing gens then thats fine, at least they escape and killer gets a depip and less points for that along with my less points and depip

This game is designed that the killer always wins the chase. You just cannot ‘don’t get caught’ for very long. Closer to 45 seconds in high level play.

Well the best way to improve is to face better players and learning from how they play. Camping because you get good opponents is the best way to stay bad at the game as you’ll never figure out how to outplay them

Tbh I don't have much of a problem with it except against instant down killers like Leatherface or hillbilly.... I feel something does need to be done in regards to it with them. I don't know how though, without punishing people who just play normally.
People always say this like just any killer can do it; maybe against low rank survivors but I mean face camps at red ranks are annoying but it's usually a free escape for 3 people, sometimes even 4; and we make sure that EVERYONE GETS A CHANCE TO PLAY.
Borrowed time saves, dead hard through the person to let them take the hit, things like that. They work on most killers fairly well so it's usually not too much of a problem, worse case someone else goes down and you trade it up so that other person can go do things for a while now.
The only time face camping has ever genuinely caused me problems is if :
- Survivor gets hooked in the basement; however this is a survivor caused problem
- Killer is someone like leatherface that can mass instant down, in which case gen rush and unless you have the PERFECT perks for it, you probably can't cycle the hooks or anything unfortunately, and in this case I think it's a real problem.

Yeah, you can see that in the leatherfaces that mess up their almost guaranteed free kill with face camping and then rage quit the match.

We all agree it sucks. Personally i think they should make kindred base kit. But that still doesn't solve the problem.
How would you prevent the killer from facecamping with an in-game mechanic that is not abusable by survivors to give them an advantage?

That’s the only reason facecamping still exists, because the devs can’t figure out a way to stop it without causing other issues. If they had a way they would have done it because it ruins the fun of the game. Yet we’ll see loads of killers defend facecamping because it’s in the game but when it comes to dc’ing they’re like OMG you ruin fun you should be banned for life bla bla bla

If survivors wanna face camp gens, and more importantly gate (even tho they can escape) may aswell let killer face camp survivors, sadly it can end badly if all 3 survivors go for rescue and honestly only certain players deserve to be face camped, I dont like how me or my friend get face camped alot but ######### happens, at least 3 others escape, unless they too dumb to do gens or go for save vs camping bubba :/ sometimes killers gotta do it to not depip or to get more points I dunno, I rarely do it if the survivor is cheating and I find out while still playing, or if they tbag me too many times I do it in the hope they stop tbaging just cause they drop a pallet, but I almost never do it, maybe I should use my bubba build again, it always seemed to work, even when survivors had kindred :P unless they're swf then u lose fast

I mean, that's how you punish campers. If campers are winning games by camping, it's survivors fault. They camp because survivors make it viable.
Besides, the killer has one objective. "Kill". It's even in the name. Are you going to not do gens as fast as possible to allow the killer to have more fun? If you spawn in right next to a hex totem, are you going to leave it alone in an effort to promote "fair play"? If you say yes to either of those, you're a liar; and I don't expect you to do either of those things either, so how dare you act so damn entitled by trying to tell ME how I should play just so suit your delicate sensibilities and cater to your fun. I don't care about your fun, nor should you care about mine. When's the last time you opened a shooter game and said "Man I hope this will be fun for the OTHER team!"? Never. Guaranteed.
I don't make a habit of camping, but it's part of the game. Just like all 94783894938493984398493348329849384938493483948 second chances survivors have.
Your fun is not the killers responsibility. Killers aren't your babysitters.

Oh no, he will do it every match. Ruin the game for one or two people and then gloat in their face while claiming not to care that he only got 14k bp cuz "he doesn't care about the points". I see this type of obnoxious at least once every 10 matches. Some people derive their fun, not in playing with skill or legitimately winning, but ruining the game for others.

Well, i would be perfectly content to play against all the potatoe survivors i usually get as teammates in solo queue. Most of them dont even know how to do bones. But matchmaking always send me vs red rank swf (and no, i am not kidding, it happens way more than ppl at my own rank).
The thing is, if the skill difference is too high, there is nothing to learn from it, because you dont even realize what it is you do wrong. With players closer to your level, you can actually realize your mistakes and learn from them. And thats the games where i didnt camp.
But i stopped playing killer anyway. As solo queue survivor, i win most of my games, and the one that i lose are mostly due to my teammates being allergic to gens (if you run aura perks, you know what i mean)

FACE CAMPING does NOT exist anymore. You must be an after-2017 player, because real face camping hasn't existed for literally years.

You are a part of a team yes? You struggle all the way because 2 or 3 survivors escaping is a lot better for the team then everyone dying because of you. Stop thinking selfish. If you are a part of a team you die for that team.

If facecamping doesn't exist, what is this? this was in 2021 between. This is literally the definition of face camping, a killer, facing you, while you're on the hook.

1) assuming i do not struggle, which i do in every game even as a solo q player.
2) thinking your fun is more important than mine, by thinking you are entitled for me to struggle so you can escape/get points/play the game when I'm not able to do any of those.

Sadly, it is the really problem which is not acknowledged by many. People will tell you that's its an ok strat to facecamp, but these people are usually those, who never got facecamped or actually doing this.
People already said that, but I did not pay my money for the game just to hang on a hook for a minute and half.

This game requires that survivors work together toward objectives. Why play the team-side (survivor) of a game and ask "what's in it for me to help my teammates?" A team player asks "What is best for the team in a particular situation?
I do agree with you that if you are hooked and spend all states on the hook and choose to stay til the end of struggle, BHVR should give a sizeable BP bonus in that instance.

The Chances that "He wont do IT again" are so low. Since most of the time the other survivors wont even do the goddamn Gens instead theyll Run around or just try to save you (and then you will be tunneled)

the only problem is that there are not enough facecampers... so survivors mains never learn anything. Most survivors don´t even touch killers and refuse to learn 90% of the games content anyway. And the tiny amount they actually could learn learn they get wrong.

I feel your pain on that. If they refuse to do gens while you are running then as messed up as it might seem, bring the killer to them and try to get the killer agro onto them. That way you can do a gen

Sure it sucks when being face camped. But killing yourself only plays into the hands of the killer. You do not get more points from it, but your teammates will have it harder and the killer get even more undeserved kills. If each and every player being face camped would always struggle until the end, you can bet that many campy killers would change their tactic or quit playing. Face camping is utterly boring for a killer as well (at least for most), but it's used because it works out in the end more often than not, simple as that.

if Killer is camping two survivors should go to the hook, one distracts and one unhooks. That’s what I do when someone is on hook

Face camping - the act of standing in front of the hook and literally, physically blocking a survivor from unhooking. You've been able to unhook from every direction since 2016. Face camping does not exist.
Actually be knowledgeable on terms and phrases that have been in the game longer than you've been playing, then you're allowed to challenge me.

Staring at you isn't face camping. Face camping, as defined in 2016 by veteran players, is actually blocking possible hook saves, since back then you couldn't unhook from the left or right of the hook, so the killer could just stand in front of them.
Please verse yourself on the lingo, and the origins of said lingo, before challenging someone who knows the game and it's history better than you.

And how could u tell someone is being camped? Perhaps there is someone being chased around hook? (Don't bite my head off I obviously don't mean literally just around the hook but in a bit larger area of the hook)

Yes you play killer and think a survivor can run a competent killer for 5 gens? I don’t care how long you’ve played if you think this can be done then you must be terrible at the game. Experience doesn’t equal skill

Honest opinion (almost devotion 7, play both role): to be camped is boring, and vs one-shot killers is just more difficult to deal with (also with stealth killer, cause borrow doesnt activate). But one thing is that almost nobody say is that also for killer camp is boring, but Sometimes necessary. That is a problem on the base of the game (perks helps, but I think the game must be more balanced at the core, without considering perks... Also Mmr/elo hope will help). Sometimes killer need to apply pressure on a hook, to make surv stop doing gens and try a save/ need to confirm a kill to make stop gens flying and can have fun in chase (cause most of the times you dont have time to play the game, cause even with top tier killers/one shot, with few second down in chases, or snowballing, gens flys no matter what). So killer can decise to strategically camp a survivor to take a worker out of game and make it easy (or capitalize on errors of the unhookers, moreover in various situation, like in endgame to obtain one ore more kills). Sad but true, balance problema (perks and instaheals helps a lot).

It sucks to be the person on hook in that situation, but if you want to keep the killer from getting to much pressure and easily 4k'ing that's pretty much the only way to punish the killer atm.

Yes, the best option is to just waste as much as the killers time as possible.
If everyone that is facecamped decides to suicide to get to the next game faster, you'd encourage more facecampers.
If every teammate hook dived and either trades or throws the game, you'd encourage more facecampers.
If you do what they want, they'll keep doing it. Stalling out for time discourages killers from facecamping. They might even get bored and leave if they see you're going to stick it out if you're lucky.
This is why If I ever play against a leatherface hard camping a basement, I won't go for the save or I won't attempt escape and stall for as long as possible. You either use the time to do gens and escape or you join the unlucky survivor in the basement by going for the save.

To be 100% honest if i am being face camped i want my team to do gens. I wouldn't say people who say that havent been camped. I literally tell my team to stay on gens if i am being facecamped and most of the time im face camped for giving a long run.
