Refresh rate killing the game???
I've previously made a post about my computer full restarting when launching dead by daylight and was told by a mod that the problem was hardware. I had tested my hardware before and have known that was not the issue as I just recently upgraded and the tests I ran showed that this was indeed a bug with the game. I've seen a post about this before and I'm not entirely sure as what to do about fixing this as there wasn't an answer.
Changing my refresh rate on my monitor from 144hz to 60hz allows the game to run perfectly fine, without any issues.
I try to run the game at 144hz like I always have, and boom computer restarts immediately when I open the game. The second I press a button to skip the cutscene or enter the game my computer fully restarts.

Whats exactly your machine, gpu, cpu, psu and what about ur settings ingame? Do you have unlocked fps in game or u just play with FrameRateLimit=0.000000, Vsync ON/OFF?

GPU: Asus 2060Turbo
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X
PSU: 700w 80+BR EVGA
I was playing on unlocked fps and Shadows down to 0. Every other setting is either maxed out or left where it needs to be.
This problem is very new for me as it's only been in the last month, I was playing the game just fine before. I have updated drivers, verified game files, even reinstalled the game which sets my config back to default anyway.

This is weird, I was guessing psu failure, but ur psu looks strong enough, maybe it's some hidden problem, do you know whats your power consumption? I mean idle and on pressure when everything runs 100%.
I had once problem like this, everything was okay but when I load some game my pc crashed into bsod and restart completely. They won't acknowledge my complaint about this because in their test psu works normal, so I must record them video evidence and after this retailer change my psu for new one.
I also met some ppl with this exact problem, when their psu have problems on high loads in games when gpu drain power drastically and cpu overclock automatically to turbo so consumption rapidly grow.
What about other games, or you play only Dead by Daylight?
What if you keep 144Hz but put everything to Low, is it okay or you'll have same problem and your pc randomly restart after skipping intro?

I do play other games in fact I can run both cold war and cyberpunk with Ray tracing on both games @ high settings. The funny thing is, I know its not the power supply. YES I did just upgrade parts to my pc, HOWEVER, I used to play on a system on a 500w for over a year. I just upgraded this Christmas, so keep that in mind when I say that I have also had the issue on my previous machine. I've been able to play the game before, even on my old machine that ran perfectly fine for a year I was still getting this issue in this last month.

This is really strange, you will need probably send ticked directly to bhvr or try ask on some tech guru forums etc.
Have you tried 144Hz everything Low? Or it's just same, but 60Hz works normal? This is the strange part.
