The Athlete

"The entity has created a new creature to hunt me down, a horrific combination of its damned influence and human flesh." - E. M.

Meg Thomas was desperate. Her mother was dying, and no one could help her. When all hope was lost, when despair overtook her heart, she heard voices guiding her on what to do.

"The Entity tempts many with power, but the cost is always too high." - E. M.

When the sun rose, both Meg and her mother were gone. The only thing left behind was a single note.

"I have found a cure."

Height: Normal

Terror Radius: 32 meters

Movement Speed: 130%

Power: A Race for the Cure

  • The Athlete can only see survivors within a 29° cone in front of the Athlete
  • Any Survivor within the cone will have their location revealed by Killer Instinct after being in there for 3 seconds.
  • Every time a survivor is hit, fill The Cure meter by 20%.
  • You have to hit a survivor three times to down them, with the second hit causing the Deep Wound Status Effect.
  • When The Cure meter is filled, Mother will spawn.
  • Head to the Mother and deliver the Cure to her to enter The Cost for 60 seconds

Power: The Cost

  • The Athlete's Terror radius is increased by 16 meters
  • Any survivor in the Terror radius is revealed to the Athlete
  • Any survivor downed by the Athlete will be automatically taken by the Entity to the nearest hook unless they have DS.

Perks

The Athlete's perks help her track down survivors and eliminate threats to her goals.

Run, But Don't You Dare Hide - Any time an exhaustion perk is used in a chase, the survivor's aura will be revealed for 5 seconds. "I hate how they look at you, their looks of pity that do nothing to help." - Meg Thomas

The Loud Die First - Any survivor that makes a loud noise notification has their aura revealed for 3 seconds.

Eliminate The Competition - When you hook a survivor, any survivor who has not been hooked as many times as the survivor that got hooked gets Exposed for 25 seconds and their location is revealed to you for 3 seconds. "If you are in my way, you are going down." - Meg Thomas

Mori

The Athlete grabs the survivor by the next before throwing them on the floor. The Athlete turns around as the Entity tears apart the survivor on the floor.

Design

The Athlete is a killer that forces the survivors into a desperate race for survival. She takes a long time to down any survivor due to the extra hit required but is very hard to escape from. The Cost adds to the pressure by eliminating the downtime of picking up survivors.

The Leader

"This Killer prefers to leave the dirty work to its creatures." - E. M.

Dwight was a simple man. He did his job, he went home, and he did it again. Every day, he woke up and tanked the abuse by his coworkers and his boss, who treated him as if he was just a shadow on the wall, doing nothing of value. One day, when workers showed up for the night shift, all they found was blood and eyes everywhere, but not a single body was found.

"Monsters that were once man, yelling insults at all those who enter their range." - E. M.

Height: Tall

Terror Radius: 24 meters

Movement Speed: 110%

Power: The Daily Grind

  • The Leader starts with 8 tokens
  • The Leader can spend a token to spawn in a Co-Worker
  • The Leader can switch places with any Co-Worker every 30 seconds, consuming the Co-Worker. The time it takes to travel is based on how far the Co-Worker is. When traveling, all Co-Workers stop yelling.
  • Tokens regenerate every 60 seconds

Power: Co-Worker's Help

  • Every Co-Worker has a 16 meter Terror Radius
  • Co-Workers will reveal anyone entering within an 8-meter radius of where it is.
  • Co-Workers will yell at anyone within a 24-meter radius of where it is, making it harder to hear anything.

Perks

The Leader's perks force survivors to choose between human lives and progress.

Deadline - If 60 seconds pass without gen being worked on when no one is hooked or downed, all survivors become exposed and reveal their location for 3 seconds. "Yeah, I am gonna need that all done by Friday, got it?"

Hex: Pay Day - Every time a survivor is hooked, a totem is randomly lit. If that totem is destroyed before the survivor you hooked is unhooked, a new totem is spawned to replace the one destroyed, and the killer gains a 10% haste effect and 50% more brutality points for the next 60 seconds.

Modern Times - If a gen is completed when a survivor is on a hook, this perk activates. Every survivor on the gen is exposed and hindered by 5% for 60 seconds. "Do you ever just feel like a cog in the machine?" - Dwight Fairfield

Mori

The Leader turns the survivor around to face him, gouges out their eyes, stands up while the survivor screams, before slamming a pen down into their forehead to kill them.

Design

The Leader is a killer that can respond to information quickly and harass survivors at all times. While Chases will take longer due to their slower speed, their ability to move around the map quickly and harass survivors at all times make the Leader a potent threat.

The Survivor: Evan MacMillan

"I made a choice between rewarded cowardness and painful bravery." - E. M.

Evan MacMillan was a well-known figure, heir to a great fortune. Despite that, he was known to be less of an aristocrat and more of a worker. According to those who worked underneath him, he was a relentless boss, who forced them to give everything that had on the job. However, if you earned his respect, he would support you through thick and thin. When the mines collapsed in a tragic accident, Evan rushed in to save those that he could. Thanks to his efforts, 20 men managed to escape death's grasp. Unfortunately, Evan himself did not live, as he went into the mine and was never seen again. His father was found dead not soon after, having hanged himself not soon after the mines collapsed.

"I have only killed one man in my life. He deserved every last second of torment." - E. M.

Perks

Evan MacMillan's perks enable him to take the brunt of the entity's anger to help his teammates escape and escape even when all hope seems lost.

Do Not Go Gentle - Start the match with the endurance effect. For every 2 gens done or gates opened, Do Not Go Gentle activates. When not in a chase for 20 seconds and you don't have the endurance effect, gain the endurance effect. When in hook stage 2, you can struggle off the hook. You can only be hooked twice before being sacrificed. "Rage, rage against the dying of the light."

Heroic Strength - You can run through a wall mid chase, causing the Exhausted status effect for 40 seconds. The Wall will reappear right behind you. Pallet stuns last 30% longer.

Love of Life - Every other survivor will get a notification that you have this perk. If End Game Collapse activates and every other survivor makes it out except for you, you will be treated as if you had escaped. You gain 100% altruism points for altruistic actions during the End Game Collapse. "You deserve so much more than this hell."

Ending Notes

  • This is a part of a personal project to turn all survivors into killers and vice versa
  • Modern Times is named after the Charlie Chaplin Film
  • The reason why there are two killers for one survivor is to make up for the fact that on release there were 4 survivors for 3 killers.
  • Next up is the Botanist and Philp.
