Chapter Concept: Lover's Bondage and Breakage

Hello everyone, I enjoy writing characters for stories I write and I also am a fan of Dead By Daylight. I realized there isn't a killer based on a common anime trope that creeps the hell out of me, which is Yanderes. I then pulled out two characters I created and turned them into a chapter concept just to see how it'll look. I hope you all enjoy and excuse the writing and drawing problems, I am still working on improving both parts as these are pictures from a year ago and I had to add more details to it, so I might create a better version if this is well received. If you have any concerns about both parts, comment down and I'll happily take notes on it. Feedback is good. Note that everything isn't set and stone for good reasons, so the more feedback I get, the more improvements can be made.

Killer: The Yandere (Katherine Mila)

Background

Allegiance Asylum, a place where society’s undesirables are supposed to be held, now a place that holds war criminals or monsters that danger humanity, but one that is neither monster, but not completely human lays down its eerie corridors. Katherine lays chained and wired, watched for hours by the man who captured her. An experiment by day and night, Isamu Hirai, the very man who captured her, continues to watch her as he regrets ever being involved with Katherine.

Katherine was in high school when she got killed, body flawed and ripped open by a demon before her spirit laid in an effort to stop her from flaying her "lover" open and to save those around her from losing a limb. Rather than ascending to heaven or falling to hell, her love kept her in a limbo until life breathed her into the mortal realm. Fueled by hate, vengeance, and a new power created accidentally by a god, Katherine endowed her vengeance against the person who killed her, only to be taken down by Isamu, the one who she grew to resent more than that demon. As she laid unconscious, Isamu looked at her with shock as something familiar resonated within her. Something he was scared of.

Katherine’s body was dragged into the asylum where Isamu watched in terror, scared of what he had done, scared of who she was, scared of how she must be stopped. First in metal chains, Katherine kept on breaking out, slaughtering thousands of innocent lives. Each attempt ended in failure, each attempt fueling a hatred towards Isamu, the man who’s keeping her in the cage and constantly capturing her. A metal brace was placed on her neck, injecting her constantly with a suppressant. Being a temporary solution to her, but a reassuring solution for Isamu. At least, that's what he tells himself.

Years have passed, Isamu continues to watch Katherine, still scared despite her being contained. Katherine watched from the darkness, waiting and listening. Each breath was becoming painful as the wires continued to dig into her, but she didn’t care as Isamu wasn’t his old self, he’s getting older, which means he won’t be as fast, let alone able to catch her. Prayers of something, anything to come were uttered so quietly, not even a mice could hear it. Day in, day out, Katherine uttered a prayer until something answered, something terrible to Isamu, but a blessing to Katherine.

Mist filled her containment as something whispered to her, promising her to find her beloved, only if she listens. Mist filled every part of her as she felt something was pushing her, encouraging her to stand up as she heard a click that she hasn’t heard in years. Releasing the very brace that left her bound, the entire building flashed a familiar red as screams of panicking people were heard. Rather than venture and escape to kill, the mist guided her elsewhere. She walked into the mist as the doors swung open, guided by the love that made her kill with a promise that will never be fulfilled. Bloodshed left behind by the asylum will now be elsewhere and the man who tried to stop her, will for once join the victims of her hands.

The Yandere's Power: Love Lust

Love lust composes of three powers, Unhealthy Obsession, Love Lust, and Sexual Tension (Those are just names, they aren't lewd, trust me on this one ok?)

  • Unhealthy Obsession
    • Katherine becomes obsessed with one survivor in the trial, she can’t hurt her obsession, with each hit applies the deep wound status effect. Only Katherine knows who the obsession is and can see the survivor’s aura when within a 48 m radius. The oblivious survivor know they are the obsession, but everyone else doesn't. The only way for the others to know is that they are in deep wound status. This obsession counts as a perk obsession, so any perks that alters the effects of the obsessions (Such as transfer or obsession specific) can leave the survivor's second guessing themselves as anyone can be the obsession, creating a playstyle that plays off obsessions to a big scale.
  • Love Lust
    • Holding the action button while staring at the obsession reveals auras of nearby survivors near the obsession and marking them with lust. When pursuing lusted targets, bloodlust is permanently on until the target is hit or 6 seconds have passed since the chase, in which bloodlust is deactivated and Katherine walks at a 110% movement speed until Love Lust marks them again. Holding the action button while chasing a non obsession can mark them again, but drastically slowing her down (Similar to Myers). If Katherine strikes the obsession, no matter what happens, lust on all survivors are deactivated and Katherine is stunned for 2 seconds. Doing a lunge while chasing a survivor who is marked with lust causes Katherine to lunge a semi-large distance in an attempt to grab the target. Grabbed targets will be held by the neck and can struggle to get out while performing occasional skill checks to get out with a minimum being 1 and a max being 3, which will cause them to run off, stunning Katherine for 2 seconds. Katherine is unaffected by struggle and can move faster, but at the cost of the survivor having a way shorter wiggle timer. If choosing to drop the survivor after grabbing them, they are put into the dying state and can be picked up for a traditional over the shoulder carry. Katherine is immune to flashlights in front of her, but not on the side of her along with pallets dropped on her when she picks someone up. Perks such as decisive strike won't affect her when she carries them by the neck.
  • Sexual Tension
    • If Katherine kills all but her obsession, the survivor is then exposed as Katherine can see their aura across the map and is permanently bloodlust, but the survivor can also see her heartbeat at a larger radius. Katherine can down the survivor and can either hook or perform a unique mori that only occurs when this condition is met (Entity will take the survivor once she gets him/her in order to anger her for the next trial).

Perks

  • Hex: Couple Bondage (Teachable at level 30)
    • Seeing people staying together unlocks an inner rage.
    • When Hex Couple’s Bondage is active, survivors that are within 8/12/16 meters on one another will have both auras highlighted for 6/10/14 seconds and your aura will be masked from all survivors when within 15/20/25 meters of marked survivors.

  • Love is Eternal (Teachable at level 35)
    • Watching your beloved running from you fills you with rage and it’s everyone else's fault.
    • Each time your obsession escapes, the obsession suffers from oblivious for 4/6/8 seconds and gain 4/8/12% haste towards other survivors. Each hit against a survivor that isn’t the obsession increases the oblivious timer by 2/4/6 seconds per unique survivor. Hitting the obsession by any means necessary disables the perk for 20 seconds.
      • You can’t hide forever! I’ll find you, even if I have to kill those you love! - Katherine
  • Hex: Sexual Yearning (Teachable at level 40) Concept Perk A
    • Your desires overwhelmed your senses, leaving you hungry for more blood to be spilled for them to see. The desires fill you with power and others with dread and paranoia.
    • When you hook a survivor, gain a token. When a survivor is hooked within 24 meters of you, lose a token.
    • 2-3 Tokens: Gain 15/20/25% increased chance for bloodlust to occur and is 25% stronger than usual.
    • 4-5 Tokens: Survivors within the terror radius of the killer have a 25/50/75% chance of screaming and stains, blood and scratch, is more visible to the killer and dimmer to survivors.
    • 6+ Tokens: Gain undetectable and all survivors are exposed and exhausted.

  • Everyone Doesn't Know (Teachable at Level 40) Concept Perk B
    • You live your life as normal as possible and those around you aren't on high alert. Since no one is alert, their reaction time is slower as they don't suspect danger from you or anyone else.
    • Every time a generator is finished, everyone in the trial has a 1/1.75/2.5 second delay on vaulting, leaving a generator before repairing, and unhooking a survivor, allowing any killer with this perk a bigger window to grab survivors to hook them for 60/75/90 seconds.

Survivor: Isamu Hirai

Background

A hero to some, a god to others, Isamu Hirai is called many names during his life. Despite being a god and a hero, nothing prepared him for the task he was given. Being the one who has accidentally created Katherine by creating her very power by accident by mixing three love abilities into one, Isamu dedicates himself to containing and protecting society from the monster that is Katherine. Each day Isamu stayed near her, the more paranoid and scared he became as any day could be his last or everyone else’s. Isamu hides behind a mask to hide his fear and he’s willing to fight under a new alias, but it was a futile escape from the guilt and fear he carries on her shoulder. Each shot from his rifle or blast of magic was filled with hatred as Katherine tried escaping, but one breakout Katherine had become fatal when he ventured into the mist without his weapons in an attempt to capture Katherine. Now Isamu stays near a faint campfire hearing a faint laughter in the distance, knowing that for once, he’s going to be the toy of the very thing he’s scared of. But no matter what happens, Isamu “Shadow” Hirai promised to capture Katherine and to bring every survivor he’s now acquainted with out of this hell scape. He knows there’s a sick game and he’s willing to play it in order to free everyone and to capture Katherine. If only he understood how naïve he is.

  • Playstyle: Isamu is a survivor that binds himself to the killer and can obscure and even disrupt the killer’s plans as he masks his fellow survivors and disrupts the killer to allow his team to escape.

Perks

  • Agile Diversion (Teachable at level 30)
    • Dealing with criminals created a feeling of protection towards those who you deem innocent.
    • When within a killer’s terror radius, disable every other survivor other than yourselves' ability to drop scratch marks and blood stains, but increase your scratch mark visibility, the noise you make when doing rushed actions, and inflict broken for 70/60/50 seconds if struck and disable the perk until you are healed to full health state.
    • Killer can’t be affected by this effect 10 seconds after the previous one.
    • No one can’t resist the urge to fight if they anger their target. -Unknown Scientist
  • Hunter and The Hero (Teachable at level 35)
    • Years of fighting evil has sharpened your senses of where a threat is and those you need to protect.
    • At the start of the trial, see the aura of the killer for 4/6/8 seconds and the aura of nearby survivors for 5/6/11 seconds. If reunited with a survivors within 50 seconds after the trial starts, gain a token with a maximum of three. Each token gives 3/6/9% increased movement when running towards targets, killer and survivors alike and every time the killer strikes you, consume a token and get inflicted with deep wound instead.
    • Only one survivor per trial can have Hunter and the Hero

  • Soul- Bound (Teachable at level 40)
    • Prayers for help came from within. Once being a god, you share your gift with others to allow them to live as it binds you to you and your enemy. Any pain you feel is shared with them.
    • Become soul bound to the killer. If the killer injures or downs you, stun the killer for 1/2/3 seconds and gain 10/20/30% additional haste in movement speed, crawling, and recovery for 2/3/4 seconds. The haste doesn’t apply to wiggle though. Once getting stabbed, the perk goes on a 30 second cooldown.
    • The killer can only be affected by this once every 15 seconds.
    • It’s all a sick game with stupid rules, but I will persist even if my life is in risk. - Isamu Hirai

Conclusion

The concept was lengthy, but very fun to make. I really want an obsession lover based killer be added into the game along with survivors that are linked to that said killer. If there are any problems ,please comment and give feedback on the idea. At the moment, I am learning how to improve my drawing skills, so a better concept idea can be created if this gets enough positive feedback.
