Killer Idea: The Horde

Appearance: An alien, with multiple eyes on one side of it's head and a split in it's jaw.

Speed: 115% (4.6m/s)

Terror Radius: 32 meters

Height: Tall


Ability: Duplicative Consciousness

Clicking m2 will instantly create 2 clones around the Horde, walking in a straight line at the same direction as the original. They can either appear as one on either side, or both on one side or the other. There is about 1/8th of a second between the first clone and second clone being created, in which the Horde can turn their head to make the second clone go in a different direction. The clones will only walk forwards, and will disappear if they hit a wall or Survivor. Clones have a terror radius, and while these clones are active the original has the Undetectable status affect. This can only be used once every 20 seconds.

If a clone created by clicking m2 comes into contact with a Survivor, that Survivor will be inflicted with the Paranoid status affect.

3 clones will be spread across the map randomly at the start of the match, but none will spawn within 40 meters of where the actual Killer spawns. They do not move like the ones created with m2, but they do have a terror radius.

Holding ctrl for 1 second will teleport the Horde to any clone it looks at, and the clone that will be teleported to is highlighted in green. Clones created with m2 can be teleported to. This can only be used once every 40 seconds, but instantly regenerates when a Survivor is hooked. After teleporting, the Horde leaves a clone in it's place that has the same traits as the 3 clones that spawn at the start of the match. Only 5 unmoving clones can exist at a time, and once there are that many, the latest created (or a random one of there's a tie) will disappear.

The Horde can see the aura of it's clones.


Paranoid: While inflicted with this affect, Survivors randomly hear the Killer's heartbeat as if they're right next to them, randomly see the red stain around objects, see things move just out of their direct sight when there isn't stuff moving, and also breathe 100% louder. If afflicted by the Horde's ability, they also see clones of the Horde running towards them randomly, before disappearing when they come within 8 meters of them. The only way to remove the Paranoid status affect is to stay within 16 meters of another Survivor for 10 seconds. When afflicted from the Horde, this can be extended with add-ons.


Add-ons would include:

  • Decreasing the cooldown of one of the abilities
  • Increasing the speed of teleportation
  • Increasing the amount of clones that can exist on the map (a green and purple add-on, one adding 1 and the second adding 2)
  • Adding time after the clones disappear where the Horde is Undetectable (each by 1 additional second)
  • Inflicting effects if a Survivor is within a radius of a clone
  • Increasing the time it takes for the Paranoid affect to disappear


Perks:

Collective - When within 8 meters of a Killer's belongings, Survivors are inflicted with the Oblivious status affect. This affect lasts for 5/10/15 seconds after they leave the range. This affect is hidden.

Isolation - When not within 8 meters of another Survivor, a Survivor is inflicted with the Blindness status affect. When injured and not within 8 meters of another Survivor, a Survivor will scream once every 90/60/30 seconds, revealing their location to the Killer.

No One Can Hear You - For every time a Survivor has been hooked, that Survivor heals other Survivors 12/18/24% slower, and sounds of other Survivors are 30% quieter for them, but their own sounds are also 20% quieter.
